nope, your ignorance shows again..it's from Pro football focus. You have an argument with the stat take it up with them. And it's just as real a stat as dropped passes.
Holy shit. You just won the internet argument. You threw down and bet me. Wow. I honestly can't argue with that. Unsupportable like all of your opinions about Mannion, but well done. _
Hey after 5 posts of total regurgitated verbal diarrhea we finally get the answer. I respectfully disagree. We won 11 games w/ Sanchez at the helm w/ less talent and tougher schedule. A precedent has already been set.
not really, hand the ball off, hand the ball off, interception, defensive stand, punt, hand the ball off hand the ball off punt, win by 3. it's telling that only once has Sanchez led a team back from being more than 10 points down at ANY POINT in a game.
Oops, my bad, not PFF, Football outsides in this case. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2012/adjusted-interceptions-2011 Now good night richard.
No more unsupportable than your view on Bryce....and it would seem that football people agree since he went before Bryce.
Putting the additional verbal diarrhea aside, being that all Sanchez did in our 2 AFCCG runs was "...hand the ball off, hand the ball off, interception,...hand the ball off" something "...any QB can do...on the right team with...defense and running game", then you must expect us to win 10+ games and make a playoff run then this year? As we have a great defense, running game and the quintessential "any QB", 4 of them to be exact.
By the way, arguing that the Browns tried to trade ahead of the jets isn't much of an argument, consider their drafting history recently at QB.
To summarize we would not win 10-11 games if Sanchez was our QB this year but will do so with our current crop of QBs if "they limit...[their] ability to make mistakes".
Addendum, last year the Jets defense ranked better last year you think the team would have won more than 6 games? Defense ranked 24th in terms of points allowed, 3rd most passing TD's allowed. 6 of the 10 losses were by 7 points per game, if the Jets defense had cut just 7 points per game (which would have made them roughly league average in points allowed) you think maybe they win more games?
To summarize correctly, we will win 10+ games IF they limit the QB's ability to make mistakes. I'm not arguing that Smith is a better QB than Sanchez, he's not. I'm just stating that He can be just as effective as Sanchez was by doing what the Jets did when they won with Sanchez....run the ball, play very good defense, and limit the QB's ability to hurt you. Same formula applies.
Drafting Petty in the 4th round is good value since he was projected to be picked much earlier. He should stand on the sidelines with a clipboard for a year, and then hopefully compete for the job the following season.
And to reiterate Rofl, yeah whatever. Remind me again who Sanchez signed a big contract with, or even a starters contract with? oh yeah, he didn't...he signed up to be a backup QB...as a free agent...demand was so high for him from all those QB hungry teams. You're arguing about a guy who believes in himself so much he CHOSE to be a back up Qb. ,
Awww come on. Has our memory of the big apple turnover really vanished that quickly? Granted Geno is terrible, but Sanchez was just as bad. Sanchez would be a starter if he was average, but he is a backup just like Tebow in Philly.
I agree. It may take two years even but when he is ready he has all the tools to be a really good QB in the NFL. It's just a shame the Jets don't have a good QB for him to learn from.
I opened this thread expecting to read opinions on the new qb we drafted. I guess I should have known better.
