Hyperbole Much? 2010 has 1 QB who's still a starter and he got traded this year. 2009 had 1 QB who's still a starter. 2007 has 0 QB's who are still starters and only 1 QB still in the league (Drew Stanton). But yeah, whatever, I'll bet that in 5 years at least 1 QB from 2013 will still be starting. The biggest problem teams have is colleges have gone to the air raid offenses and NFL ready QB's are becoming more and more rare. Almost any QB that comes from those systems is going to take time to develop, there are some exceptions of course.
They said the same thing about Brady....not saying that Mannion will be close to Brady, that'd be stupid. But the point is that the NFL and people like yourself, have become so enamored with the air raid college offense that you can't see it doesn't translate to the NFL.
This year? Who knows. Last year? nope, year before? Nope, Year before that, nope? oh wait he was on the team that year at 6-10.
Have you looked at the shit that came out if 2013? Mike Glennon might be the best of them and he is a big awkward stork of a dreg. _
Well let me rephrase that, if all the Jets had him do is hand the ball off then yes, maybe 11-5. But then again we can have Geno just hand the ball off at 1/10th the price.
We'll see if the trend changes. Big slow weak armed unathletic QBs aren't what NFL teams are building around these days. _
LOL...Oh you know but the hate won't let you say it. What does last year, the year before or the year before that, the Eagles have to do with this year. It's also convenient how you omit that he was on a team that went 11-5.
Yes, and all the teams (save Seattle) have their QB's doing what? Throwing from the pocket. #1 Job of a QB, throwing the football. I'd argue that the love affair with mobile option QB's is why the NFL keeps looking for new QB's and missing on so many.
NOt hate, the only times the Jets, or any team, has had a winning record with Sanchez is when his #1 duty was just to hand the ball off and limit his mistakes. Any QB can do that if on the right team with the defense and running game.
Tyler Wilson says hi. As does Ryan Nassib and EJ Manuel and Brad Sorenson and Zac Dysert and Matt Barkley and Landry Jones and BJ Daniels and Sean Renfree. And Geno Smith. Total shit top to bottom. _
You are bringing up a bunch of crap that no one is arguing about all to avoid admitting that if he still here with this roster we'd be expecting playoffs and more. What's next you're going to tell me that Sanchez is not a great QB, turns the ball over, ate a hot dog at game once?
No, we wouldn't be. Why? Because just like Geno, Sanchez is a turnover machine. Geno's a 2nd year starter coming out of an air raid system, Sanchez has 5 seasons as a starter and still is a turnover machine. One has an excuse the other doesn't. One went to the most QB friendly system in the league and became an average QB for a season, but still above average turnover machine. Sanchez is a backup QB at this point in his career for one reason, he's a lousey starting QB.
