Well, one QB I thought was better and one QB you thought was better were opinions based upon unsupportable guesses by amateurs.

But the QB I liked better was drafted in the fourth round and the QB you liked better was drafted in the 5th round so actual NFL people liked one QB over the other.

And there were reports by an actual NFL reporter with inside access that said Cleveland tried to trade up to that spot for the QB I liked.

Also there was a poster on TGG without inside access claiming something different.

    I think I'll believe the non-TGG report.

You can believe whatever you'd like.

Maybe the QB you liked and the one I didn't like was actually really bad and no one wanted him.

But we'll never really know for sure, will we.

    Except what actually took place.

Sanchez on this team as constructed would win a lot of games.

The reason I love Petty so much is cause the press hates his guts. Anybody the press hates who are just cocky I love..... Unfortunately, this didn't work out so well with Geno.

I was not being sarcastic. Even the most staunch Sanchez hater can't deny it. If Sanchez, the worst QB to ever put on pads, was on this team, we probably be expecting 11+/- wins. With Geno/Fitz we're hoping for 8+/- wins despite the potential of having an all world defense. Funny how that works #grassisn'talwaysgreener

Actually the only QB I liked after the first two went in the 3rd round. Mannion was the only QB in my opinion worth drafting before the 6th and even him I wouldn't have taken till the 4th or 5th round.
Rumors are rumors, but I don't think there is any arguing that this was the worst draft class probably since 1996, or at least 1998.

Why I think the 4th was too high for Petty? He came from a system that was even more simplified than the system Geno came out of, he's at least a 2 or 3 year developmental.

I'll remind you the high flying eagles were only .500 with the above named QB.

You think the Eagles who were avg about 30 points a game with Sanchez would have been .500 with the defense we are going put on the field in 2015? Do you even disagree that this is an 11 win team with Sanchez or is it just the hate that compels you to post this totally irrelevant comment?

2013 was the worst draft class in decades.

We gave up nothing to jump one spot.

    For a reason.

I have to imagine an NFL insider has more insight than, say, you.

And Cleve didn't draft Hundley because as bad as you think Petty is, clearly Hundley is worse.

    It's ok, I'll root for a miracle since I didn't get MM.

    Hate. Don't waste your time.

    Dropped INTs and all that.

Btw, Mannion is a total stiff with little arm. Awful pick.

The point is the Eagles were a scoring machine with or without, and yes I could make a good argument that without a couple back breaking turnovers they make the playoffs.

Pro style offense, smart reads. but I won't argue that 3rd round wasn't too early, it was. No QB in this draft after 1 and 2 was worth more than a 4th. And Petty is extremely raw, if he was a steak he'd still be mooing and in the field grazing.

Pro style offense and smart reads mean nothing with zero arm talent and zero athleticism.

He's a weak armed stiff. He'll never attain those.

At least Petty has the potential to learn a pro style offense and NO ONE knows whether he can read defenses or not because he's never been asked to do so. To say he can't is unsupportable. Just like for Mariota.

Mannion cannot learn to have a better arm or more athleticism.

Like you can't teach tall, you can't teach throwing or running.
