You must not watch much football... Simms best arm you have ever seen? AHAHAHAHAHAHA he was hardly an average college QB. There is a reason he will never see the field more than week 17.
He's a project with a lot to learn, nut lets hope he grasps the NFL quickly, I personally was hoping for Grayson but there's not much out their
Just throw the kid out there this season. Geno is trash and Fitz is the definition of mediocre. Were not going anywhere this season anyway so I'd rather find out whether Petty is the answer or whether we have to draft Cook or Cardale next year
don't know if this has been posted or not but this is a great video about Bryce off the field, defiantly has the character of the type of QB you want in your franchise, very happy with the pick!
I like the pick. Great hard worker, will do everything you ask him to and more. Very tough. When he throws the ball he makes it look effortless, but he can use some mechanics help. Has the arm to pass in New York. Let him learn what he needs to be QB, it's looking more and more like we won't be in position to pick a top QB prospect next year so we're putting money in the bank that this guy who has all the physical attributes can make the system change, and in the fourth that's what you'd expect. Petty has great potential as a developmental QB.
"In real life" .... Reading comprehension. Edit: I should also further clarify. I meant watching them throw from the sidelines. I've been to many games w/ notorious passers but never close enough to compute the ball speed. Once the Jets moved to Atlantic health, I can walk over to the facility to watch practice. So I see a lot of the QBs up close. Simms has had the best arm, consistently, since I've watched from the sidelines.
Hundley had arguably the worst O line in football. Petty has all the physical tools to get the job done. We will find out if he has the ability. But he is a great pick and there is a reason the Jets moved up one slot to get him, because someone else was probably trying to make that move as well.
If pulling a Russell Wilson means looking better in camp and in preseason than the garbage we have, that very well may be the case
The Jets ruined Geno by picking him when it was obvious to every team but us apparently he would never amount to anything
I understand that you hate Geno as a player but let's not make the same mistake we made with Mark and Geno. Unless Petty is without a shadow of a doubt the best QB on the roster, he needs to sit, learn and develop at his own pace. You want Petty to play right away but if he stinks you'd be one of the first ones calling for his head.
This is a stupid statement. It is obvious that nobody thought he was worth a first round pick but nobody else had a chance to pass on him after that so not getting picked in the first doesn't indicate that everyone else though he wouldn't amount to anything. All it shows us they didn't think he was worth drafting in the first. You can dislike Geno and be logical. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
Tebow and Simms learned the hard way that if you were not down with the train on Michelle, you would not start.
Ok. First, I warned you. Then, I asked you nicely to stop. Hopefully, a one week ban will finally deliver the message across....
