So were all the people that were hell-bent on White yesterday satisfied with the Ohio State kid today? They addressed the WR spot, they just didn't have to do it in the first round.

I can't speak for the others. As far as I'm concerned, no, I'm not satisfied, but I'll take it. It's not even that I was that high on White, although I do think he is a great prospect. I would have been just as happy trading down and taking a LT prospect in the 1st if the Jets really liked one of them. I just thought that the 1st round pick should go to offense after all the D picks in previous drafts. I totally get why they took Williams and guess I am now happy that they did. It wasn't typical Jets luck that the "best" player in the draft fell to the Jets at #6. Maybe that's a signal that things are changing for the better. Mainly, I was just bitterly disappointed that MM didn't fall to us.

I think Smith will be a good addition to the offense. Hopefully, he'll develop into a quality #2 WR and will help keep opposing Ds from stacking 8 men in the box to stop the run and Geno will be able to connect with him on some long TDs.

Our GM na coach had absolutely nothing to do with previous drafts so I doubt they even took any of them into consideration especially since in recent years we have drafted shitty

So are you gonna change your username once Wilkerson is traded?Anyone who thinks there isn't a strong chance of that happening is blind

No not at all. Still believe we should have went White or even Beasley, may have gotten the best player in Williams but it remains to be seen if he was the best pick for us. Not getting into the debate of why for 100th time just saying Devin Smith (who I like) doesn't change the fact that we drafted a D-Lineman for the 4th time in 5 years. We'll see what our 3rd rounder can do but we likely missed another huge opportunity to address a gaping hole while continuing to stockpile our D-Line.

You're just posting to see your own name show up on the screen. I've never said there's no chance of that happening, hell I think 90% of this place knows there is and how is my user name relevant at all?

You need to pick fights. Classic internet tough guy while at the same time being the ultimate self loathing Jet fan. One of the worst.

Right, we should just accept the garbage you are saying, and you aren't purposely saying stupid things to rile people up and pick fights.

Any way we can trade Wilkerson to the Chiefs for Justin Houston?

Agree with the Williams comment, however regarding Tavon Austin, only some of "we" were calling for that pint-sized, one-dimensional lil' runt. No knock on the guy but wasting a 1st-round pick on such a specialized package made no sense imo.

This year? The "complete package" was delivered on a silver platter, courtesy of the Jags going edge, Raiders sticking with their historical 'vertical' philosophy, and Washington more concerned with keeping RGIII on the field. Brian Orakpo or no Orakpo, should RGIII hit the IR list again, that's the moment the Redskins become irrelevant als0-rans and their 2015 season goes up in smoke - and that's not going to sit well for yet another year with Snyder nor that long-standing fanbaseā€¦.esp. when they see the Ravens down the road as playoff material year after year and doing it behind a guy named Flacco at QB. And that's why I could see them going OL (to the Jets' god fortune) even though the 'Big Cat' was the big catch of this draft.

Houston on this defense would be scary.

They exercised his 5th year option for 14M vs. Mo's 7M..I doubt we could afford him now and he may not be willing to restructure so that he can hit FA after this season.

I'd imagine they would only trade if they felt sure they could lock him up.

Mo is being actively shopped? Says who?

The only thing the jets have said is they want multiple firsts ... That by no means says he's being actively shopped.

If the jets can get multiple firsts by all means trade him. They're making a ludacris demand and daring a team to meet it.

This by no means = actively shopped
