LB Lorenzo Mauldin from Louisville. He had 20.5 sacks in three years at Louisville. Career-high 9.5 two years ago. 6.5 last season.
Gotta admit. I know nothing about this guy. Was hoping to go QB or OL. Hopefully this dude is much better than whatever was on the board.
I like it, don't love it. Would rather have not traded at all and got Johnson, Strong, or Harold. Still not a terrible pick tho, willing to see how it turns out.
Don't know much about him other than he's got great size for a pass rusher. I'm sure Macc thought the drop off from Harold to Mauldin was narrow enough that it's worth picking up the 5th.
Maybe he would have but we got 2 extra picks out of it which ft right with what MM wants to do. More picks to get good players. I like the 5th, you usually won't find studs there but you can fin good players who will contribute to your foundation.
Not as athletic as others but never quits, works hard and wants to be great. I love the pick (my TGG mock round 3 pick). =D>
Would rather have Duke. Macc traded just to trade. I'd rather have 3 high picks than 2 high picks and 3 low ones.
Started all 13 games in 2013 despite being struck by a vehicle while riding his moped to a morning workout in August. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/lorenzo-mauldin?id=2552297
Wow. You hear this guy's story? Jesus. I'm rooting like hell for him. Father in jail. Mother cocaine addict. Found himself in and out of 16 homes. Wow
Fills a need and he seems like a good replacement for Pace. Just really, REALLY need to beef up the o-line. Both guards need drastic upgrades, and Ferguson has lost a step.
I like the 5th a lot, don't really care for the 7th's or Posey. If it wasn't for Harold falling so much I'd be in love with this pick.
