You don't know anything actually let alone the BAC levels of someone hundreds of miles away. Not that it would matter, my opinion of what happened is the same. I've seen you posting for the last year or more. You're among the least knowledgeable on here. My logic is based on months of research. It's not based on media hype or popularity. Beasley was my guy, I'm upset we passed on him.

I'm disappointed with the way the first 5 picks went. The way it did though made taking Williams if not able to trade down a no brainer. I'd love to know what kind of offers if any we were getting.

These next 3 picks make or break the draft. We got an elite prospect in round 1.

You just used the length of time it took for us to officially make the pick as a supporting statement and you were horrendous argument that nobody wanted Leonard Williams. This comes after our GM said in a press conference that he was taking multiple trade calls while they were on the clock. You expect me to take anything you say seriously? Yes. Your logic is extremely dumb.

Nah I'm just asking why would we spend our entire clock trying to trade down if he was clear cut superior BPA guy we wanted like everyone in here is saying. Why teams with holes at DT would pass on him. Why nobody would give us anything good enough to trade up if he is a true elite best player in the draft like people on here are saying. I'm glad we got him and not Fowler though.

It could just be as simple as a general philosophy they have to let the clock run in case someone goes nuts with an offer they can't refuse.

Do we know for sure White is going to be a star? He's got talent, but so far just one year of production. We were upset that St. Louis grabbed Tavon Austin in front of us, but that worked out ok. WVU spread system breeds numbers for its receivers.

Almost every analyst had Williams in the top 2 if not the top of their big boards. He was a gift at #6. His floor is Sheldon Richardson with high ceiling.

Ideal situation we keep all Richardson, Wilkerson, Snacks and Williams and scheme the hell out of the opposition. Too many looks you can make with a line like that and their versatility. But if not, if we're forced for whatever reason to move on from Mo, it's nice to have a backup plan.

FALSE. Stedman and Tavon both have been in a horrendous D3 offense that we know first hand. Now that Schotty is gone the new guy will use both of these players the right way. Also, each of those guys had a very good college QB while White had a horrendous QB and nobody else to take attention away from himself.

I stand corrected. I'm just not sold on taking a WR not Amari Cooper at #6 especially with one of the top 2 overall players in the draft available.

I understand completely, not saying I would do the same but I just hate when someone uses Tavon as a comparison to White there are so many differences and honestly I'm excited to see what he can do with a real NFL OC.

Screw it, let's just run a 5-1-5 defense. Put Williams/Snacks/Wilkerson/Richardson/Coples on the line, Davis as the lone LB, and Revis/Cro/Pryor/Milliner/Skrine as our DBs.

Putting all five guys on the d-line will make opposing o-lines cry and trying to throw against those four CBs will give QBs fits. Davis has the speed to cover the short middle and make tackles if rushers somehow get passed the d-line. Pryor can just kill anyone who tries to run across the middle.

I wouldn't have a problem with that if the Jets ran the 5-1-5 all the time, but we know how Bowles likes to change things around for match up advantages against opponents. I don't think they would agree to trade Harris either, and even if they did, I'm not sure any other teams would want to take on his contract. If I remember correctly, no one even made him an offer in FA.

Dude, I'm still not sure if I like the pick or not but Williams was undeniably the BPA. I would have preferred Beasley because I think he would have been a better investment of our resources and helped the team more now and long term but if you are taking out all other factors from the equation Williams is a better prospect then Beasley.

You're missing the point whether he's 5th, 6th or 9th he's a TOP receiver they got for a 5th round choice. They got arguably the best player in the draft and wound up with a deep threat WR in round 2 which is exactly what they need to round out their WR group and they still have Shaq Evans who we haven't seen yet but was projected as a solid steady receiver, not a superstar but a quality route runner. They now have a proper receiving corp and some WR depth.

1st 2 teams needed QBs. QB is the most important position

    raiders
we will do that often. bowles ran more nickel then anyone. i can see plenty of 4-2-5 looks with either couples/harris or harris/davis or couples/davis as the only linebackers on the field.

i also wouldnt be shocked to see douzable out there with 5 lineman on the field. they also ran a ton of 3-3-5, which we could see alot of with couples and mauldin on the field with the 3 down lineman
