I'm not saying it does. It's just disappointing we went DL again in round 1 for the 4th time in 5 years.
It's an amazing stat. Really nutty. And I think the staff worked the phones to trade down because Williams was sort of a luxury pick. If he was obvious pick then why did it take so much time? The perfect scenario would have been a trade back but it wasn't meant to be. Knowing Jets history, Ray could be the next big pass rusher while Williams turns into Shaun Ellis with long career but never considered the best at his position. That would suck, but I'm certainly happy to add what a large majority consider the best defensive player in the draft (maybe second defensive player on our board behind Fowler)?
I actually wouldn't be mad if we went with Landon Collins in the 2nd. I know we invested a 1st last year and signed Gilchrist but Bowles uses a lot of three safety packages. Collins would get a decent amount of snaps but we also wouldn't be forced to have him out there during his rookie struggles with the talent that's already on the roster
ESPN esp Dilfer talking up Bryce Petty. What we heard was the Jets liked Hundley. I'd be surprised if we take a Qb this high. Love those Chi-town fans booing Roger.
Lots of trade downs so we could have made one. I don't think they had to have this guy. Tannenbaum just traded down. He was always pretty good on draft day deals.
