I like the way the Jets are dealing with Mo. He is under their control for at least two years, and he is cheap this year. That's an incredibly valuable asset. Let this season play out, see how Mo and Sheldon play this season, then decide which one you want to throw big money at. If you still like both, franchise Mo next year and take another year to decide. If Williams develops and becomes a stud, you have Richardson and Williams on rookie deals, Mo franchised in 2016. You have all thee of these players under your control and a chance to keep two of them long-term. It's great to have adults running the Jets these days.
They let Ellis walk and Snacks is here for one year. It works long term. Snacks is a good player, and a good story, but he can way the way Ellis too. If Snacks was signed long term and Ellis too, that woulda made it tough. But they didn't. That part of this worked out well.
Don't underestimate how important Harrison is. Ellis was quality depth, Harrison is much more than that.
Do it Big Mac do it.. lol theres no way we get 2 1st though but hey Oak and Cle are 2 dumb franchises so u never know
This is the report for anyone to lazy to look... CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Jets want "multiple first-round picks" in exchange for RE Muhammad Wilkerson. Per La Canfora, the Browns and Raiders were among the teams "monitoring" the situation prior to the draft. It's unclear if both teams remain interested, but they're two of the clubs with the most cap space and would be able to sign Wilkerson to the long-term deal he wants. There's just no way the Jets are going to get "multiple" first-round picks for a guy seeking $40 million guaranteed.
other then JJ watt…i do not think a 3-4 de is worth a lot of money..and teams won't give up a 2 firsts for him…maybe a 4-3 team will give up a 1 and keep him at DT
