TJ Clemmings is injured and will be a major project (he was a defensive player a couple years ago). With that being said, his upside is incredible.
Well when you consider that Vic Beasley is in another stratosphere compared to gregory and that white is in another stratosphere compared to strong, it makes sense.
That's fair but Strong has first round talent. I would put him ahead of Perriman from a hands perspective ( I remember a game where he pulled down a one handed touchdown ) and his 40 speed was better than expected. He would be a steal in 2nd
It works both ways. We got Leonard Williams in the first in addition to adding one of the guys. I named above. What's "better"? Leonard Williams and Dorial Green Beckham Or Kevin White and Eli Harold/Randy Gregory It comes down to preference but Williams was considered best player in draft by many people and DGB is a first-round talent with 2 inches on Kevin White. I love his prospects, however. The fact we can draft either ILB, OLB, ILB and move outside (McKinney), or Gregory, means I think Williams pick looks even better in hindsight. We can survive with what we have as pass rushers but Williams is a potentially dominant defensive lineman. Jaelen Strong vertical was 42 inches compared to Kevin White's 36.5 Strong ran a respectable 4.44. His broad jump was the same as Kevin White's. He averaged 97.1 yards per game, to White's 111.3, but they scored the same touchdowns per game at 0.8.
Sorry your answer is incorrect. Thanks for playing. Let's all give Mangolden Showers a round of applause.
DGB or bust. Dudes a beast and can learn behind decker and Marshall. Not to mention the Giants have a beckham so it'd be nice for us to get the GREEN Beckham haha.
Anyone who says "hands down' before explaining himself is not to be taken seriously. "How Sway?! How?!"
I'm at work. I don't have time to give you a draft breakdown, guy who just showed up today. laugh all you want now cuz you won't be later. I've been ridiculed for my player opinions that go against the grain before and been more right than wrong. This team will never be a consistent winner cuz we draft like shit.
I know some here would be angry with this pick, but I want Randy Gregory. He's the best EDGE currently and while he's raw he's shown the ability to use hands to play with leverage and he's masterful at setting his rushing moves. He doesn't have great counter moves, and he won't contribute in year one, but he can be the answer to our problems (edge position) for a very very long time.
He's an option of mine as well... he's going to be a stud. Posters are going to be angry, but come next year I have a feeling they'll be very happy with this draft if we came out of this with Kendricks, along with Williams. Macc has done a great job of adding depth this offseason. We could trade Wilkerson or let Snacks walk and still have an elite defense!
But his agility sucks, he can't move east west. His 3 cone was 3rd worst of all receivers and not strong either despite the name probably why he didn't even do bench He had five or fewer catches in over half his games, had half the games with 120 yds or more as white He's got good hands and great jump ball ability ask him to do anything else and DB's were all over him He's good I like him but laughable to think he's in the same class as a Kevin white
How can you say I just showed up when I've been here since 2004, eight years before you wandered in? I don't post a lot so what? Foolish statement. If you think Kevin White was BPA and a need, great, but there are more than one way to skin the cat. We don't need to find Kevin White in the 2nd round, obviously, but a 5-8 year pro who can provide consistent production would be nice. We can't evaluate the Williams pick or Macc tenure after one night, as I'm sure you know. Are we a better team in 2015 with White at WR and either Geno or Fitz at QB? Are we as good or better with Leonard Williams on the defensive line? Because I look at it in one year window. Maybe we grab an elite WR next year. We still have more picks and BPA/need might lead to WR in 2nd round.
FWIW, Strong's pro day shuttle was better than Maclin, Steve Smith (Utah) and Golden Tate (the good comps) and his while his 3-cone of 7.34 was bad, Steve Smith's somehow was worse. Still, I don't rank Strong as a must-get, just one of the "better" available WRS. I'm not a professional or amateur scout so whatever my film evaluation means very little. But Strong and DGG have great measurables if not agility to succeed in the NFL/ Never compared to White, but more than better consolation prizes 31 picks later than White.
