Anyways, I have calmed down...Bad loss, but I am confident our team can overcome the missed chances. We need our star players to bury shots in the net rather then always having the defense/lundqvist win us the games.
Did anyone hear what AV's slip/message to Nash in the press? Maybe I misinterpreted what he was saying, but he said something like "One of my focuses is going to get my top players, playing at a top level...Nash....ville...uh...Washington's top players tonight, played a strong game."
I refuse to accept that. How exactly is Holtby > Hank when the Rangers miss a wide-open net THREE times?!?!
I absolutely agree, and he should be held accountable for that. However, that does not mean that Holtby played better.
I will hereby refrain from making comments about Derek Brassard, to avoid any support to the belief that I would rather see Brassard fail than see the Rangers win.
More disappointing was AV's lack of adjusting to what the Caps were doing, we came out flying then played right into the Caps hands
I recognize that we agree. However, I must refrain from making any comments specifically directed at Derek Brassard to avoid any support to the belief that I would rather see Brassard fail than see the Rangers win.
Also a very valid criticism. AV has been very good this season with line/defense matchups. He picked a bad night to have his worst coached game of the season.
Listen, Matt. Other than your comment about Holtby playing better than Lundqvist, I agree with every other statement you have made about this game.
