The Leonard Williams pick makes this D not just the best D in the NFL this year (Duh, that's an easy call), but we are now clearly in the discussion for best defense of all time! Sure it's a projection, this group hasn't played a game yet, but this is like the Heat adding LeBron James to Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, instantly turning them into a contender. We added Leonard Williams and Darrelle Revis, both LeBron caliber talents, and Antonio Cromartie to a D that already had Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, Damon Harrison, Quinton Coples, Demario Davis, and Calvin Pryor. Just let those names sink in, roll off your tongue for a minute, and you will begin to realize just how legendary this defense is about to become! I can't contain my excitement!!!! The ESPN crew was talking about them playing more 4 men fronts now, with Mo Wilk, Richardson, Williams, and Harrison absolutely wreaking havoc on opposing offenses! That group would be good even without a great secondary, but add all that domination to Revis, Cro, and Pryor now in his natural position, Demario Davis patrolling the middle, and Coples rushing off the edge on passing downs, and this looks like a D that will quickly become not just elite, but legendary!!!!! It's a great night to be a Jets fan!!! How can any Jets fan NOT have goosebumps right now when thinking about this defense!
Best defense of all time without playing a single down........Its like winning the lottery without getting the money
We came into this draft with the best D-Line in football and one of the best secondaries with a gaping hole at OLB. We have #6 pick in the NFL draft and we still have the exact same situation. Nothing changed.
Best defense. Cant wait for yet another low scoring 'please stop the offense on 3rd downs with 1:02 to go in the 4thQ' boring JETS game.
hold your horses dude i'm super excited and we might have a top d this year but hold off on that thought hahaha
