you can replace mo with other guys.

    there is no replacing revis

revis is a ton more important to the defense. there are other ways to generate a pass rush. on our own team we have other guys who have similar talent. no one else is going to shut down half the field.

with revis and no wilkerson we have had elite defenses

with wilkerson and no revis we have not.

revis turned NE into a defense capable of winning a ring, and leaving the jets turned them into 4 win trash

i wouldnt put mo 6th but i can see a legit case for the following as better:

    Watt
    Suh
    Richardson
    Mario Williams

They will both be on the field in kelly green and white so the point is moot. Both players will do well because of each other, it's going to be very exciting on defense, expecting a ton of 3&outs and takeaways

IMO wilk is the more important player of the two. Rich-Wilk-Revis in that order. $16mil for a corner is due to branding, nothing more. Wilk is the more impactful player.

    Branding? Lol.

like revis isnt playing eltie coverage on the outside. and as if elite coverage isnt one of the most rare things, especially with todays rules.

check our record without revis vs. without mo and tell me again who is more impactful. without revis our defense is average at best. with it it has been elite

Team record defines a player's impact...?

What was Tampa Bay's record with Revis?

The whole topic is subject to opinion considering they play different positions. Which position is more impactful to a team's defense? I think it's a dlineman that hits the quarterback. You think it's a corner that shuts down a top receiver.

not just record, how about defensive ranks? our D was elite with revis. it wasnt without him.

its not just importance of position, its depth. it is alot easier to find an impact Dlineman then it is to find someone like revis.

shutting down half the field is much more important. it gives you 1 more defender to work with in coverage or to committ to the rush. if we lost wilkerson tommorow our d wouldnt crumble, if we lost revis it would

There's one d lineman in the league better than Richardson and that's JJ Watt. Richardson dominates and I only expect him to get better. Jets need to be careful here because Richardson needs to be the number one priority. Whatever they give Mo they will need to give Sheldon more. They have to take that into account and make sure they can pay both and if they can't Mo needs to be the one to go.

Richardson is definitely the better of the two.

they are both equally good in their respective roles. Man I'm excited about Leonard. He's going to stop teams from being able to double anyone.

Richardson and i don't think it's even that close....Wilk is still a VERY good player, just not as good as richardson.
