Maybe AV is just playing it low key even though he knows Zucc is out next round.

They have to roll the dice and give Buchnevich a shot if Zucc is out long term.

Sounded like Sather was open to that idea. I honestly dont know who else we should use. Cant just go with Glass-Sheppard-Fast on a line. I hear Buch is a sniper more then a creator.

We will need Brassard and Stepan on top of their game and if MSL still has juice left he brings it out next round

I think Slats will play wait and see regarding Buch. He said today it's not happening but if the Rangers open 0-2 I think all options will be on the table and they won't hesitate to burn a year off his ELC

Kuznetsov wins it for Washington on a nice individual effort.

    Round 2: Rangers - Capitals

Isles played like they were coached by Herm Edwards.

I can't post this rant on the Islanders thread because that would be trolling especially after they kept their "21 years without a playoff series win" streak intact tonight, so please indulge me this one timeā€¦.

What the hell is with this sudden romanticising of the Nassau Mausoleum? Like this 'venerable venue' is to be revered as some "Grand Old Lady" of hockey in the vein of Maple Leaf Gardens or the Forum? Suddenly this dump that used to have sparse crowds is "atmosphere central?"

And what's with the recently overused (and co-opted) "Barn" nickname? The "Old Barn?" Fake, co-opted b.s.

Anyone who knows hockey knows that "The Barn" in hockey means the Windsor Arena, and in the U.S., the Williams Arena, home of the Minnesota Gophers. Those "barns" were built in the 1920's, practically a half-century before the Uniondale Ugly. Blow it up, tear it down. LGR.
