The thought of Manning and Bellicheat together on the Jets is enough to make your head explode. Between Peyton's aircraft carrier forehead and Bellicheats more ways to break the rules than Rick Flair attitude we'd have been unstoppable. Part of the reason I've never liked Manning was the bullshit they tried to pull about not coming out because Parcells wasn't going to promise him he'd have been #1. Just a bit of info for the two posters who picked Steve Tannen. He had a great college background with multiple INTs. Rated rather good based on his history. I was at the first practice at Hofstra. He went for an Int on the first pass but just kicked it up in the air, the WR caught it and ran away. The head coach, Walt Michael's came running at him from behind the QB and screamed. Your job is to hit the WR so hard he'll hear you coming and take his eyes off the ball. Make him fear your presence. Don't you ever do that again. Wow, killed his incentive on the first day. What a shame.
BP essentially cost us Peyton and Brady(plus BB). all he had to do was assure the Mannings he'd take Peyton in 1997 and Peyton comes out and is a Jet for a decade plus. he doesn't b/c he knows he is in it for the short term and doesn't want to have to win w/ a young QB. then b/c BB didn't want to work for BP it made him weasel out of his deal w/ us, if he has the same staff in place here as he had in NE my guess would be Brady would have been a Jet and the NE dynasty would have been a Jet dynasty. Depressing to think about.
