If Cooper comes in and pushes out Kerley I think that's a great scenario. If Marshall can be a legit #1 target, Decker but that strong #2 target and Cooper be a good enough #3 target that he pushes out Kerley: great, that means we have 4 solid WRs depending on the situational call and/or injuries. My concern is that Cooper will not be able to beat out Kerley (and definitely not the other two) and ends up playing in four receiver sets or other situational plays only. That doesn't sit well with me. Even if he does beat out Kerley and he becomes our #3 target is that really the value of a 6th overall pick?

The ideal scenario is he comes in and he's a legit #1 receiving threat...I'm just not convinced that happens if for no other reason he's got Fitzmagic or Geno throwing him the ball.

You ought to watch some tape on Kerley and some tape on Cooper. Kerley hasn't been the same guy we started to love and Amari will never be a #4 in any offense. He will be at worse a #3 option here for a max 2 years. You don't pass up this kind've talent for those reasons.

Nothing is certain when it comes to college prospects. Even highly touted guys can have issues finding that next gear at the NFL level. I'm not anticipating him being a bust. I'm just saying if we already have a relatively good receiving core for the next few years and that you can typically get solid WRs later in the draft then why use the 6th overall on a guy who might be your #3 WR on a team that has one of if not the worst QB situation in the league.

I'd rather get a guy who can put consistent pressure on the QB for years to come which address a huge area of need (especially when Pace is gone), makes our defence that much stronger with all the secondary help we're getting this year. I think that will help us win more games over the next few years than anticipating Geno or Fitzpatrick throwing 70 yard TD passes to Cooper up the sideline. Plus, there should be lots of good WRs available with our 2nd rounder.

    IMHO: Beasley + 2nd round WR > Cooper + 2nd round OLB

I'd take Beasley and trade up into the late 1st to take DGB

Definitely Cooper. Beasley is a bit of a combine hero.

I don't even know any player combine numbers, I do know that Beasley is an animal of a pass rusher and has proven it on the field

He was pretty light weight in college, small. he gained a lot of weight before the combine, but had good numbers there, and that actually raised his draft stock post combine. His stock cooled off a little since then. If he stayed at his college weight he would not be rated as high.

Considering who is most likely gonna be available at 6, people feel Beasley at 6 is a reach

I didn't know that and if he was really that light in college then I'm even more impressed by what he did. And if he gained weight for the combine and was able to maintain speed, I'm even more impressed, because it proves that his frame can take more weight

That's why he went up the boards. That's one of the questions with him. Does he do the same things at the bigger weight in the pros?

On the other hand a guy like Dupree is rising quickly up the boards based on measurables and the new 'metrics.'

If Gregory didn't have the pot issue he would be rated higher than both them, imo. Ray without the injury by many too.

It's tough to take an OLB strictly on the hope that he'a sack artist at 6. Fowler is the least risk, as an overall complete OLB.

If Cooper is gone then you take Kevin White and dont think twice about it. How long have we wanted a vertical receiving threat that plays with an attitude

    I'd pick Cooper over Beasley.

  13. Cooper. Though I believe White is the better fit.

I'd personally go with Beasely. I really like Cooper, but this is an extremely deep WR class and if we're lucky in round 2 we can get DGB, Devin Smith, or Doresett. Cooper would help immediately, but IMO Beasely would have the greater impact for this team in 2017,2018,2019, etc.

Gregory us tough to take that early but I would support it, then I'd have to reconsider DGB for a player like Strong. Aw what the he'll take Gregory at 6 and trade up for DGB, two franchise changing talents, I'm done pretending weed makes a player stop playing

I can't take Cooper in round 1 with the massive talent at WR available in round 2. Dorsett, Strong, DGB, Perriman, Greene, Coates.

    Nope not doing it.

    And I like Cooper.

    Stokes

Who is your pick if both QB's are gone and Fowler, Williams and Cooper are all off the board?

    Easy.

Kevin White. Before any of those guys.

He is a violent player. Bigger, faster, more explosive than anyone we've ever had. A bigger, faster, meaner, more athletic Lav Coles.

Having said that we need to do whatever it takes to get Marcus.
