Well you worded it like kd going there is a sure thing. It's okc or Washington. That's it. As for the coaches, i have no idea, I've never heard of any of those guys. I'm not sure why thibs would be bad. Isn't he like a top 5 coach?
Scott Brooks has shown the ability to develop an effective defensive culture. Thibbs is an old school coach, and his act gets tiring as the seasons progress. He will have the Magic playing elite defense, and he'll devlop a simple offensive system, that caters to Oladipo and Payton. Brooks is a coach who can get you deep in the postseason, but he's not going to put a team "over the top".
No, it's not Washington or OKC. Every team will have cap space in 2016, and Miami has a history of winning, unlike Washington. We'll save tbis discussion for another time. Here's the thing with Thibbs- he overworks his players and is an old school coach who does not possess any communication skills. He's good, but he's not great, because he's not a great communicator, and he has a history of playing his stars too often. If you look at the coaches who are considered great, all of them have well rounded communication skills to a certain extent. Brad Stevens, Pop, Kerr, and Buddenholzar are all great communicator with their players and staffs. It's clear that OKC and Presti are looking to revamp their offense... how is Tibbs going to do this? He's a top notch defensive coach, who has helped revolutionize defensive schemes, but his offensive track record isn't great. Alvin Gentry is a well regarded assistant coach, who is essentially the "Offensive Coordinator " in GS. He coached five years ago for Pheonix and he was fired; but he helped the Suns become one of the more efficent offenses in the league. Another guy I'd look at would be Mike D'antoni
Playing ISO Ball on offense won't work with this team. They need a team orientated offensive system. Brooks can coach defense, and the Magic have some good defenders, but to take that next step - they need to get the offense in gear. Maybe if he brings a good offensive assistant. MAYBE
they just mentioned it during the TNT broadcast although it looks like it won't survive because the Spurs...
basically Mills cost me my second half cover took LAC -2 second half, they were down 5 at halftime they won second half by 5 but then lost OT by 4 (so 1 short of pushing my bet) why? They kept letting SA give the ball to Mills, who went 6 for 6. Inexplicable. Double him and make them pass it to someone else. But no. to make it worse, I had Redick under, which lost when he made a 3 in the final minute. Pretty embarrassing for LAC to lose. Parker injured in the 4th, Ginobili fouled out, Duncan was playing with five fouls... officiating did favor the Spurs, as they got away with a lot of contact inside on Griffin. Jordan from the line this series: 11/29 Spurs were intentionally fouling a lot in Games 1 and 2.
the free throws weren't that bad he missed most of them but they were coming off the rim none of the really ugly ones it prevented some fast breaks by the Clippers
Pelicans up 20, go on to lose inexplicably let Curry shoot 2 threes in the final seconds without fouling up 3, you don't let Curry get off a shot
Pelicans let Curry have the ball every time they can't figure out that they want someone else shooting the free throws
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/gametracker/recap/NBA_20150423_GS@NO Since the NBA instituted the shot clock, Golden State had been down 20 to start a fourth quarter 358 previous times - and won none of those games. ==== as could be guessed, I bet New Orleans ML. I also bet Milwaukee spread and ML last night. Double OT, no cover.
Cant believe gs won , because of time difference west coast games aref from 1230 pm here ,saw the scores at 3/4 time , expecting no to win ,saw result at 730 pm and fell off chair
Both games were crazy. You got robbed on both of those games really. I remember when the Pelicans were up 18, I was thinking well they're actually going to get a win here it looks like. Wow.. Well then they turned the gas on, and look what happened. That was just brutal for the New Orleans fans. The Bucks game was crazy too. They should have won. Woulda/coulda/shoulda
