yep, as we know the folks covering the Jets never get too high after a win or too low after a loss.

You get torn to shreds here regularly but you just don't realize it.

Favre played hurt in the final weeks of the season, and he has been told by doctors that pain in his right shoulder is from a torn biceps tendon and some calcification in the area, sources told ESPN's Ed Werder. The sources said Favre would need nothing more than arthroscopic surgery to repair the injury, but that he might be able to avoid the procedure altogether even if he decides to play in 2009.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

yep, I have said all along he was 100% healthy so this confirms I was wrong and you were right:rolleyes: when do you stop deflecting?

John Elway won a SB w/ a similar injury and had it the ENTIRE season not just the last few months.

Do you know what they did to "repair" the injury? This is an extra credit question

Ahhhh the backtracking you've done now recharacterized as hyperbole.

Well done, you're in full troll mode today.

I'm waiting for the MRI and the post-op report from Favre's agent, but he has not returned my calls.

From what I've read about the procedure, it involves arthroscopicly releasing the torn tendon from whatever the sticking point is.

I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Releasing a tendon from where it is attached is not the repair of a tendon like you have been saying for days

I have never said any such thing. I do not know what the repair entails.

I have said ONLY that (i) it was a bicep tendon tear and (ii) it can be fixed with arthroscopic surgery--if surgery is elected.

Never how the tear is fixed.

I've torn an MCL and a rotator cuff and and had a partial tear of my achillies tendon.

I know that every tendon injury has a different repair--no two injuries get fixed the same, or at all.

While I am not a doctor, my father was a thoracic surgeon and finished up his career doing knee and hip replacements and I spent a lot of time talking to him about the surgeries he performed and the multiple major surgeries my wife had.

Have never professed to be an expert on the particulars of HOW to fix a bicep tendon tear.
