Not a fan of week 17 at buffalo. The conditions will be brutal and Rex is an expert at getting his teams up to play when they're already eliminated in the last week.
Ralph Vacchiano@RVacchianoNYDN 6m6 minutes ago Giants vs. Jets set for Dec. 6 ... That and 5 other games on the Giants' schedule here: http://nydn.us/1aPT41s
its not a brutal schedule, theres a pretty steady mix of tougher teams and weaker units… on paper. no screwy schedule quirks or anything. we have an earlier bye than usual and a saturday game.
Damn I had week 1 and week 2 mixed up. The amount of NFC love the NFL gave here is obvious. 3 Thanksgiving games featuring all NFC teams and the MNF doubleheader has NFC teams. Guess NFC>AFC?
Fixtures look relatively fair. Nice and balanced other than the early week 5 bye which was expected. Only concern is the @IND/PHI/@Mia stretch right before the bye. Hopefully we can hit the bye at 2-2 and not 1-3. We get a break with the 'Skins right afterwards.
What jumps out at me is lack of 4:00 games....don't ever remember that in the past. Only one is in Oakland because it has to be.....
Oh man the second half of the Dolphins fixture is absolutely brutal. Pats, Bills, Eagles, Cowboys, Jets, Ravens, Giants, Chargers, Colts, Patriots.
I love so many 1PM games but I also know if we are any good, we could have some games flexed. That Jets@Giants one could be a prime target for NBC. Its football so everyone will be watching regardless of location but if both teams need that game in early December, that could be enticing.
Here's a stretch that I really like. @ OAK, vs JAX, then vs BUF on Thursday. 2 very winnable games then we force Rex to play us on a short week on the road.
Jets - Giants will never be a scheduled prime time game....the NFL made a point of this several years back. Their reasoning was too many drunks, fights, etc.......in fact every single one of the 12 Jets Giants games from the past going back to 1970 have all been 1:00 games. Every single one of them......
Oh wow I had no idea, should not be too surprised since we have some real winners going to Metlife on a weekly basis with some stories you hear.
Only 1 late afternoon game is definitely the highlight of this schedule. I hate 4:00 PM games. Nice balance of road and away stretches - only one 2 game road swing. We might actually be able to start halfway decent and not dig ourselves in a hole.
Yeah the closest they came I suppose was Christmas Eve 2011.....and I heard there was plenty of action in the stands.....
If I were you, I'd put the actual full Jets schedule in the original post of this topic, otherwise somebody else will start a thread with it and this one will go buhbye
