The original quote was taken directly from Return of the Jedi actually, except for the final line "You have it too" Luke: You're wrong, Leia. You have that power too. In time you'll learn to use it as I have. The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it and... [looks directly at Leia] My sister has it. [waits for the words to sink in] Yes. It's you, Leia. http://en.m.wikiquote.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Episode_VI:_Return_of_the_Jedi
Fair enough, but the typical version is usually the force is "with you". The Jedis use the force for good, the dark side uses it for power and evil, but it's not their force it's some sort of universal power they ave the ability to tap into. The visuals are looking pretty good from these trailers. Good to see them cut out the lazy CGI
Excellent new trailer. I have always liked Star Wars, never a huge fan though, but this trailer pumped me up. It has the potential to be great.
New trailer definitely has the OT vibe. Looks like a "used" universe. Not the pristine CGI of the PT.
By the way, the new ball droid BB8 is a real, it's not CGI. They built a real fucking droid!!!! http://fortune.com/2015/04/17/iger-star-wars-bb8-sphero/
^ same here, I'm finding it really hard to be interested in further Star Wars productions for the hokey nature of the prequels. That combined with the way Lucas and Spielberg ruined the Indiana Jones series for me with that disaster Crystal Skulls movie
And I'll never forgive them for killing off such a great character after 20 minutes on screen. Darth Maul. Awful. I can't think of Indy again without thinking Aliens. How do you fuck that up so royally. Destroyed the whole theory behind the franchise. _
Jar Jar is an easy target but I always felt he was the least of TPM's problems; he's just pushed on the audience so much and reflects the creative direction, or lack thereof, that plague the entire prequels that he's the easiest to point out. The race was just stupid, but could have easily been interesting if there was real danger to it.
by the time the race came along, I was so angry I was ready to punch the 6 year old sitting next to me in the face as he watched it wide eyed like it was a movie that deserved being part of Star Wars, but hoped maybe it would be exciting. the one part where they raced by a the sand people and were fired on was exactly what the entire race should have been -- one lap through the dangerous desert, with the racers fighting each other and defending against sand people. that could have been cool. instead we got a video game for 5 year olds.
Star Wars rogue 1 (I remember these comics, centered around wedge). ...here we go... I'm not complaining; love this space stuff https://www.yahoo.com/movies/star-wars-rogue-one-centers-on-death-star-heist-116839868922.html
Agreed I hope it is alot like Firefly the tv show, a rogue rebel group of bandits going teaming on a ship to get the plans. I hope its not a dark or gritty one, but either way itll be nice
