Not that I am aware of, it's usually the conferences's themselves that put those matchups together. it seems very odd to have 'Nova match up w/ Nebraska. doesn't make sense but there must be some logic behind it.
Hackett, while 'Nova - Neb. isn't the Big Ten/Big East matchup you'd like, 'Nova will have their time and place to make hay and stake their claim to whatever ranking they're going to attain in '15-16. Attend the game and enjoy the cornfed babes fwiw.. The CBE HOF Classic with UNC, K-St., Missou and Northwestern looks to be a dog of a tourney - talk about a walkover for UNC having to face these steller records: - Kansas State: 15-17 - Missouri 9-23 - Northwest'rn 15-17 A pair of 15-17 teams along with 9-23 Missou adds up to a combined 39-57; stiff challenge facing America's African Studies champion Tarheels. Should've replace Missou with Yeshiva. Wounded Warrior Project tourney looks good with Duke, Wisconsin, G'town and VCU. Maui Classic has Kansas, Indiana, UCLA, UNLV, St. John's, Vandy and Wake.
while it won't be as crazy as the last 2 years the Heels will once again face a top non conf sched including facing UK who will be preseason top 5, UCLA, a top Big 10 team in the challenge and some upstart programs in the CBE HOF classic. Looking forward to beginning another championship run w/ this non conf sched.
you should fire him then, obviously he sucks and has dragged down the greatness of Villanova basketball. all 'Nova fans and alums deserve much better than him. Steve Lavin is available.
Really: So you don;t think that Hubert Davis, CB McGrath, or Steve Robinson have what it takes to be an NCAA Head Coach?
Robinson has been a HC and not nearly as good as Wright. don't know about the other 2. I do know Wright is a really good coach.
SJU getting some decent players for next year. It's looking like it won't be a wasted season after all.
MParty, with Mullin nabbing Matt & Slice as his first two hires it looks like he's restored SJU's recruiting base esp. on a locally-connected level. That said, any word on Diallo? Admittedly Kentucky's the odds on favorite to land him, but with Rohrssen's hire by SJU, thought that maybe--maybe--that might possibly tilt the scales locally.
Slice was his lead recruiter for Kentucky. Matt A was his lead recruiter at ISU. I think Mullin is meeting with him in the next few weeks. Hard to be confident when youre going up against Kentucky....but I'm hopeful.
Maybe, but you didn't answer my question: If Roy walked today, you would support hiring Wright over promoting one of those three?
it means I'd like to hire a coach w/ Carolina connections but if that doesn't work out I'd be open to a guy like Jay. the problem is he may be too old by the time Roy retires. I'd prefer a younger candidate.
