"Put the gun in his hand" is a figure of speech. The point is - just being there isn't enough. Seems the jury is having problems with that.
Hernandez opening basement door, with what appears to be the murder weapon, minuets following the murder. In testimony weapons expert said it resembled the same weapon that was used to kill Loyd. Then, ride or die chick with the sketchy removal of box with baby clothes on top to cover. Purely speculative and I can see the jury finding AH innocent of murder, even after the defense admitted that AH was at the scene of the murder and a witness to the murder. But we all know what happened.. Hernandez pulled the trigger (several times) like he has done several other times to people before. He hid the gun in the basement and his ride or die chick removed the murder weapon to unknown location. The former New England Patriot is a murderer. The Pats know this and that is why they cut ties as soon as the fact was clear their former star was going down.
yeah, if people are looking for reasons to let him off they can find them. however his own attorney in closing arguments said he was there to see the murder..that means it was premeditated or they wouldn't have driven into a deserted area to murder him.
I think the point is the longer these people deliberate on a verdict the less likely he gets convicted of the heaviest charges. If they all felt he was guilty he'd be done already but 5 days seems like a long time to come up with a verdict.
I wonder if the jurors are aware and fully up to speed on the additional trial coming for the 2012 murders in Boston. If they know he's going to trial for that one too, maybe that will influence their thinking? Something like, "Well they won't get him on this one, but they'll get him on that other one anyway." I've heard there's actually a better case against him for the '12 shootings. I agree though, the more time that goes by, the less sure I am of any sort of conviction. Which is pretty sickening.
There was an article written somewhere this morning that to this point the jury is NOT saying they are deadlocked or that they are having trouble coming to a verdict, just that they are painstakingly plodding through the evidence..who knows maybe the lunch food is better than they get at home.
I think that much of the speculation for the motive for killing Lloyd is that he either witnessed or had a first hand accounting of those double murders by Hernandez. _
I also heard that there are still gun charges from the weapons found at his house that once tried will keep him in prison for quite some time. Irrespective of either of the murder charges. _
One of the people who saw him leave the club you mean? I hadn't heard that but it would not shock me. Good point. The weapons charges almost seem like an afterthought. Ha, I see what you did there. You didn't need the quote marks around 'duped' though. Would have landed without the telegraph.
Yeah they've got the SUV from that one, found at a "relative's." http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/28/justice/aaron-hernadez-double-homicde-arraignment/
Illegal weapons convictions are treated pretty seriously in MA I've been led to believe. Lots of jail time with little parole? _
I feel like I'm laughing at a New Yorker magazine cartoon at a cocktail party on the Upper East Side. _
