Thanks for posting this. I certainly like his philosophy and approach. Let's see how his eye for talent is in the draft and if he can mesh that philosophy with putting together a great team. I'm thinking he will.

So far so good for Mac.. He's a talent evaluator by trade so I think he we stick to BPA based on a few positions. I could also see him swing for the fences with those 2 7th rounders and go with raw tangibles and try to develop.

We will see, with pick #6, if Mac is true to his word of drafting the BPA.

If we pass on Cooper or Fowler and draft Beasley or Ray we will know the truth.

It's amazing to me how many jets fans here don't even check their website for videos. This has been up for Awhile now, and they have lots of other interesting videos. You guys should bookmark the team video section.

Doesn't Beasley and Ray play the same position as Fowler? How would that enlighten us? Maybe he thinks they're better players than Fowler.

IMO, Fowler is clearly a better player than Beasley & Ray. They play similar positions but are different players as far as abilities. I understand Mac may have a different POV, but then I would question the way he ranks players.

LOL.....I wouldn't call drafting 7th rounders "swing for the fences".........but I get your point.

I go on the site to hear a presser I missed. I find it very biased, but that's to be expected. I prefer to get Jet news from other independent sites.

Haha that's fine, but I guess my point is that wouldn't clear up his plan, just show you his ineptitude. I don't see the gap as big as you do. I like Beasley, not crazy about Ray, and I like Fowler. I don't think Fowler is way above those 2 though, but I respect that opinion.

Fowler is my top defensive player after Williams. Fowler is stronger than Ray & Beasley and can equally handle the run & pass rush. I 'll give Beasley credit for having a super quick first step, just worry about him as a complete player.

My rankings for Fowler and Beasley aren't that far apart, more of a gap when it comes to Ray. One thing I like about Ray, he seems like an intelligent player and is very dedicated to being the best player he can be.

So you didn't get sick of Rex Ryan and John Idzik running their mouths? Listening to them speak was infuriating.

Unless they think Beasley is better than Fowler.. In which case they are drafting to their BPA, just not yours lol.

Ray I agree, wouldnt be my BPA at all.

What everyone is saying about Beasley and Ray, that they cant handle the run, those are the same things they said about Justin Houston and Von Miller. Look how they turned out!

By swinging for the fences I mean gamble on raw athleticism/physical attributes over a true football player.
