you know if the playoffs were the same format as today O'Brien wouldn't have had a home playoff game, right? and he helped them play in the same # of home playoff games as Favre did for us but at least he helped us reach road playoff games unlike Favre.
Loved Archie Manning as a kid--I still remember him on the cover of Sports Illustrated at Ole Miss. 1st 2nd or 3rd in every major statistical category for the Saints. Surely an all time great. Nope. He never even MADE the playoffs. Yet some jackass non-matriculated fake Saints fan thinks Aaron Brooks was better because he won a playoff game. Pathetic how some fans hate their own historic players. _
you are watching what these clowns are doing and you think I am getting childish? yep but had a chance, gave the "#1 ranked D" a double digit lead in the title game.
Sanchez "helped" in making the playoffs????? It had more to do with the #1 defense, the #1 rushing game and Manning sitting on the bench. Sanchez was sitting in the caboose drinking coffee, just along for the ride.
at least he never had the opportunity to choke like his son Peyton... or be carried along by teammates and referees like his other son Eli. For that I give him the edge. Aaron Brooks still better than all 3 though
it did have more to do w/ our D but even great Ds(which we didn't have) need quality QB play to win. we don't win if Favre is turning it over in big spots left and right like he did for us. Mark was vital to that 2009 run and a much bigger part of the 2010 run when the D wasn't as good and the run game wasn't as good(even though it was overrated in 2009).
K missed 2 kicks(or does it only count if an opposing K misses a kick?), we lost our only reliable RB so 2 great pass rushers didn't have to worry about the run in the 2nd half after Greene went down.
The Saints have never reissued Aaron Brooks number to anyone since he left. Oh no wait, that's not right. It's non-playoff winning Archie's number they have never reissued. Bunch of clueless idiots down there honoring that loser. _
I don't think scoring 6 points makes up a double digit deficit. Favre more than likely takes more chances down the field to help the team score touchdowns. Could result in turnovers, but Favre didn't throw 500+ touchdowns, not taking chances. Sanchez couldn't carry the team. let's not make excuses for the QB not being able to generate more points in the 2nd half.
Favre also played on SB caliber teams the bulk of his career and had just one to show for it where they won on STs. Favre was a great compiler, never trust that man in a big spot.
I would trust Favre more then Sanchez to score more than 17 points in a big game. He should have 2 rings to be honest, if the Saints weren't so dirty.
I remember Brian Sipe being a pretty good QB for those Browns teams. I think he's 1st or 2nd in every major statistical category for Browns QBs all time. Was the league MVP and 2 time All Pro. He's GOT to be an all time great Brown QB, right? Oh wait, lost every playoff game he ever played. _
haha Brian Sipe. My wife is from Cleveland, my in laws won't shut up about Brian Sipe. They love Kosar too though. They hate Belichick for benching Kosar for Vinny
