I like Sanchez as much as anyone, but pro-rating his stats out to Namath's stats is intellectually dishonest. Mark didn't play as many games as Namath because he wasn't good enough to stay as the Jets QB for more than 4 years. Had he been better in 2011 and 2012, he is our starter for another 10+ years and arguably one of the franchise's best QBs. He didn't so therefore he's not. I wonder how many game winning drives he'd have if you prorated his stats out to a 15 year starter for the Jets. By that logic the dude is in the HOF. _
Bryan Thomas has the 25th highest approximate value of any player in franchise history. Holy mother of fuck.
He deserves praise. He's an all time great Jet. Top 1 or 2 in every major statistical category for QBs. I saw him play, compared to what this franchise has produced at the position, he was a great QB for us. _
Never would have guessed that Kyle Clifton was the #1 all time Jet in tackles. He was a good player, but most tackles?!?!
Mo Lewis, No. 2. Joe Klecko, No. 16. This is the kind of thing that people come up with if they never saw either guy play.
In his 1st 2 years he was fine--its his last 2 that were atrocious. He just wasn't the same player and/or he got figured out.
Geno turned the ball over a lot because he sometimes were either late on his throws/reads or made poor decisions. Sanchez turned the ball over a lot because of Cylde Gates and Chaz Schillens.
