Is Will Ferrell REALLY funny?!?!

    I just don't get the whole Will Ferrell craze. Every role the guy plays is the exact same thing: Have overly glassy eyes, and keep your mouth constantly slightly open to indicate that you are a total moron.

    This is supposed to be funny?

    His act is getting old thats for sure. He was funny but his act as the oblivious moron is over worked. He's going to the same well too often.

    When he was at SNL he played a variety of different roles but for some reason when he makes a movie they are all the same. He's not funny anymore

    Old School is still one of the great comedies of all time.

    I do think he's funny in cameo roles like Wedding Crashers, The Internship, Austin Powers but I never got the Ron Burgandy love.

    Ron Burgandy, Elf, and the Nazi in "The Producers" are all the same friggin' character!

    Old School, Will Ferrell was amazing in. Same with Zoolander. Could not stand him in any other movie though. To me, he's not naturally funny and he tries way too hard.

    A comedian is only as good as his source material. Ferrell can be hilarious when he is working with writer/ director Adam Mckay. Dustin Hoffman worked wonders with Sydney Pollack in Tootsie. Not as well with Ishtar!

    He's also really funny in Elf. But yeah I guess it's that same confused moron role. It's still my favorite Christmas movie besides National Lampoons though.
