Absolutely take MM over Cooper & White. I expect MM to be gone, so as you mentioned, Fowler, Cooper or White, one will fall to #6. I like Beasley but he's not the BPA when the Jets will be OTC.

It's an unfortunate situation the lack of quality OTs in the top of Rd 1. I like Flowers and even mocked him to the Jets, studying him closer he needs some technique work that doesn't warrant him to be a top 10 player.

    you can't.

There's literally no competant QBs on the Free Agent QB market and the Jets won't get Winston. Probably not Mariota either. And even if they get Mariota...he's not gonna come in and be Steve Young. So no. Right now...it can't be fixed.

Steve Young didn't come in and be the HOF QB we know either. In fact, the team that drafted him gave up on him after just 2 years and traded him away. The team that traded for him sat him for another 4 years. Picking Mariota would be an attempt at a long term fix, which is the best kind of fix. Mariota might also just surprise and be Steve Young lite early.

That's exactly what I'm saying. And I just threw Steve Young out as an example of a good QB. One who took years to grow.

You made my point for me. It cannot be fixed 'Right now.' A QB, even one who is drafted takes years to groom.

I don't believe in Mariota. So there's that.

With all the money that was spent on the defense this off season and with Wilkerson and Richardson's contract looming, it's imperative we add some cheap young talent on offense. We are in prime position to do it in this draft. Go for the wide receiver.

Yeah, and the team that drafted Favre did the same thing. Have to hope our GM knows better when he makes decisions. Time will tell.
