I'd be for this but don't get it since we just signed powell. Who would the speed back be would we carry 4 rb? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Would rather not spend money on a guy that seems kind of redundant, is coming off a major injury and has ball security issues.
It's worth a shot if nothing is guaranteed. But most likely we'll be going RB in the draft and I'm not so sure Ridley is even equal to Bilal. It would be an odd signing.
If Ridley signs with the Jets, he could be the most talented back we have available right now. He did have over 1200 rushing yards in 2012. Depending on the price, it would be an interesting signing.
There's an opening for a 2nd or a 3rd RB. If they sign Ridley then they don't have to draft one. He got benched when he fumbled but was used a lot by BB and was productive.
If they sign Ridley and don't draft an RB, who is going to be the speed back and the pass-catching threat out of the backfield? Powell is not an acceptable answer either.
Would be a great move. Very good back with solid hands. He did well in New England catching out of the backfield.
Didn't Mac recently say that Bilal was an underrated player and part of the problem was that he was underused. He's not a bad receiver. But to me the short pass guy in our offense who should be overused is Kerley. I'd like to see him get at least 80 targets this season.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Do some research. Ridley has caught 23 passes in 4 years. Has only been targeted 36 times his whole career. I like Powell a lot. I just don't think he's going to be that change of pace RB. He's very solid and I think he's got a role on this team for sure, I just don't think you should pass up drafting a speedster and sign a redundant player like Ridley under the assumption that Powell can be that guy.
cant afford turnovers... so i wouldnt want to bring him in. if we want to get to 9-10 wins we have to be excellent with ball security
