This is a rare case of saying he's not worse than geno actually isn't true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd keep Simms because we will carry a 4th QB into camp anyways. I'm very concerned about trading for a guy with a broken leg. So it would be good signing for both parties. But I think he'll sign with Atlanta and accept a backup role to Matty Ice.
Lol I mean look if the jets sign schaub will I be in an uproar ? No. I just will see virtually no reason to have done it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Look I'm not saying Simms is a good Qb. There's not much opportunity to start with an NFL team. Most teams go with one guy only. He gets all of the reps and game starts. The other guys languish on the bench and some of them never get a chance to play. Some of these Qbs might have been good players you never know. You can't say they should never play just because they haven't played. I think Simms would have been better after 60 starts than Mark. Only because Mark played poorly most of the time. And 60 starts is a lot of time to improve. So if they sign Schaub (and I hope we do) then Simms goes from being the 2nd Qb in 2013 to 3rd Qb in 2014 to 4th Qb in 2015, If I was Simms I'd sign with Arizona. He's a lot better than Lindley.
he hasnt been the same since his lisfranc injury ... its a difficult injury to come back from, its the same one santonio had no harm in bringing him in tho
That explains it. Holmes' injury caused him to just literally give the ball away to the other team. Sounds like the same thing happened to Schaub at the end of his tenure in Houston
He had that injury in 2011. In 2012 he posted his 5th straight 90+ QB rating season and passed for over 4000 yards. That injury was much more detrimental for a guy like Santonio whose game relies on quick, sudden cuts. A pocket passer just needs to be able to drop back, set his feet and throw. He had an elbow injury in 2013, and didn't play in 2014 for the Raiders.
90+ rating, 4,000 yds he must be amazing especially considering all the bums on offense he had around him in that very difficult division. he was awful in postseason throwing a pick 6 to keep Cincy in his lone playoff win(TJ Yates led same team to win over same Bengals a year earlier) then doing nothing until garbage time against NE.
there has to be a qualifier for every single opinion you have. That alone should tell you your opinions are wrong most of the time
Thank you for your opinion person that is beneath me. Nothing is black and white, those of us that truly understand the game realize this. those that don't just post meaningless stats w/o context.
So why do you want an Alex Smith like QB then? You said with a player like Alex Smith, we would be contenders. Kind of contradicts your statement as Alex Smith isn't a winner in the playoffs. See NFCCG against Giants.
I know this is difficult for you to grasp but QBs with good numbers usually help win football games. That's a fact Jack. If we had a qb with a 90+ qb rating and 4000 yards passing the last 5 years we would have won a lot more football games. QB rating is an especially good indicator of quality QB play. Now please tell me how you understand the game better than average fans and dizzy yourself with assinine spin.
