Star Ledger reports: http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/03/jets_reportedly_interested_in_quarterback_matt_sch.html
This thread was just now made, when this news came 4 hours ago haha, goes to show how big of news it is.
Schaub and Fitz mentoring Simms might be the answer. Simms has never been given a real shot and Fitz is obviously as smart as they come. Worst case, we have another high draft pick next year. best case Simms turns out to be amazing in the right system with the right teacher.
he was never a good QB, he wasn't terrible like he has been the last few years but even at his best he was nothing more than a decent fantasy QB.
No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you.No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. No thank you.
I'm not going to look it up but he tied the record at 6 games and fans were protesting outside his house. Ridiculous!!
Atlanta got the 8th pick while giving up the 10th in 2007 and two seconds from houston when they traded him so that was a haul.
Tannenbaum really liked him and we were in discussions to acquire him from Atlanta. Luckily that never went through.
Why would the Jets even be interested unless they are getting ready to cut Smith? It's not so they can cut Simms which requires doing nothing..unless Fitz is much more hurt than we have been led to believe and may not be able to play this year.
