I understand you struggle w/ reading but please have someone who can read go back and read the context of the discussion to you in order to help you understand what has been posted.

"twat"? what 50 year old man uses the word "twat"? haven't heard that since I was in 4th grade.

Stop digging. You posted a faux defense of Lavin getting his 'mediocre team to the NCAAs' for no other reason in this case than to be your usual antagonistic self. Far from me to expect a narcissist to own up to it. Save your 'context' trump card for one of your Mark Sanchez, thread-hijacking posts.
It's been 3 whole years since you've heard that? Besides, the gloves fits. Narcissistic trashing of two non-UNC coaches? Stay classy you salty, non UNC-metriculated brat. :D

    you're stale bread.

the 'fan' is a narcissistic invention.

    the 'non-metriculated' is reality.

    I deal in reality.

Fordham hires E. Kentucky's coach. I'd like to see them stop sucking for once.

It will be interesting to see who Texas breaks the bank for. Gregg Marshall seems like the obvious choice but he might be headed to Alabama for big $$. Shaka Smart would do well there. Their AD has NBA ties so they could go after someone there..

I get he'd get paid more money but there's no other reason to consider 'Bama over Texas and I'm sure he'd get a ton from Texas too.

    Yes and no.

Both places are actually similar in that they would offer insane money & nice facilities for recruiting and as the school's firmly defined "second sport" they offer less expectations... Texas has a more fertile ground for recruiting but Marshall recruits nationally. In the SEC there is great potential for a powerhouse outside of Kentucky.. plus Texas' AD is reportedly a real twat to work with.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Marshall chooses Alabama

I tried, but you said I should shut up and accept my role in College Basketball as a warm-up team for "major programs", remember?

It's really hard to argue against Tom Izzo as the best head coach in the game today. What other coach accomplishes so much with above average talent?

I would say that Izzo, Roy, and Pitino all had comparable talent this year. Izzo clearly coached his team beyond the others.

he always has top notch talent, this notion that he doesn't is comical. Izzo had to play NC State in the Sweet 16, Roy had to play Wisconsin. 2 of the 3 teams MSU upset along the way Carolina just beat and Izzo didn't have to deal w/ all the off court nonsense and injuries/illnesses that Roy had to deal w/ this year.

w/ that said Izzo is a GREAT coach but why can't he win more pre tourney and get higher seeds/easier runs for his teams in March?

IMHO - Izzo actually does better when he does not have "perceived top-notch talent", as he does this year.

You mean like Jay Wright? No, Thank you! I'd take Izzo in two seconds.

he always has top notch talent, some years better than others.

If Izzo had Wright like reg seasons he might have more than 1 title.

So you admit Jay Wright performance has been unacceptable given his regular season success?

He didn't play NC State he played Oklahoma in the sweet 16 and he had to play against Virginia just to get there

Would you agree that this season, his talent was equal to that of Roy and Pitino?

Very fair point. He did have to go through Virginia.

my mistake, he played OU which was far worse than Wisconsin so either way an easier road in the regionals.

Never faced a 1 seed. Carolina did.

Izzo? probably. If healthy I think UNC would have been most talented but that didn't work out and UL had to dismiss a top player but after all that yes they were pretty equal.
