You're right, missed kicks do happen. But in this particular case, with as great a season as he was having you can't miss 2 of 'em from 40 and in, esp. in balmy San Diego weather. I'd bet you could probably hit a 'practice' 40-yd. FG, no reason for Kaeding to brick two of them - that wasn't Heinz Field in cold weather.

junc, didn't you once give Norwood a pass on that missed 47-yarder because the field was chopped up? I'm not contesting the field conditions which were lousy, but the fact that Norwood was 2-2 on PATs and 1-2 on FGs, that is, he missed that one long one at the end. You weren't calling him 'horrible' back then. Just sayin' ...

You are making stuff up again.

    Let's compare situations.

Rivers had a 2 seed and bye, facing 9-7 team at home in div rd w/ rookie QB and HC. Led O to 14 pts, K missed 2 makeable kicks during the game which if made would have changed strategy for the Jets and SD the rest of the game. SD had ball for 28 1/2 minutes.

Kelly was in SUPER BOWL facing team led by TWO HOF coaches, a team that won a SB 4 years earlier. Had ball for 20 minutes and led O to 19 pts. Led O into FG range for last second kick to win SB

    yep, exactly the same situation[IMG]

Kaeding had a history of coming up small in big games, you have to be aware of that going in. Not settle for FGs.

Would you like to take a poll on whose better? A couple of months ago you swore on a stack of bibles that you never said Sanchez is better than Aaron Rodgers after I accused you of saying it and I believed you and took it back. Now I'm not so sure.

I don't swear on stacks of bibles but I 100% guarantee I never said Mark was better than Rodgers, haven't even said he is better than Rivers. Just stating a fact that he has been a better postseason QB.

Not at all, Brien missed 2 chances to WIN the game. Kaeding wasn't in position to win it.

You don't say but you insinuate. You toss out your pro Sanchez stats and let them do your talking. Just come out and say it: Sanchez is the greatest Qb of all time.

That situation you've laid out has nothing to do with your statement at all.

My point is exactly that they aren't comparable and your logic for one doesn't apply to the other (thanks for reinforcing what I said) which if u make that statement for one it should universally apply, unless of course you're biased. ;)

You continue to prove my point and don't even realiZe it.

My point was proven long ago which I've laid out in English for you countless times. I already know this, at this point the banter is honestly just entertaining me through my workday.

You haven't proven anything and by continuing to make things up in order to deflect you tell us everything we need to know.

let's move on, the romper room portion of the show is now over. If any intelligent adults would like to discuss the overrated Philip Rivers let's do so.
