I'm not an alpha male, guy. I've had friends fight my fights before when I was out matched. I've never tried to use legal language to constitute what happened though, never. Most people think that an assault is an attack on their physical presence but the legal definition is pretty tame and that's exactly what this guy was using when he said he was assaulted, prove me wrong. more fireman Ed would mean less of this guy. I am sure this man is a very nice man but he humiliates our fanbase w/ that ridiculous outfit and every time they show him they are basically mocking all Jet fans.

Pretty much this, regular fans who obsess about football can't afford to go to a lot of games. I'm lucky if I get to one a year now. It's not just football, even hockey, for me to take my son and daughter to an Islanders game I was looking at a $500 night, it's crazy, I think I'll put that in my retirement instead. We should really all start boycotting until they drop players salaries and drop ticket prices. As for Fireman Ed, he did at least get the chant going, BUT after his public quitting he just can't come back, that ship has sailed.
Agree. He was also the face of NY Jets fandom for better or worse. There was always a shot of Fireman Ed in every highlight (or lowlight) footage. Now they show some fat guy with a stupid model jet plane on his head.
The good teams don't need any of these assholes. Perhaps when we get a string of formidable seasons together, our fan base will find no reason to have to be led to a cheer and instead be popping their asses off the seats in the pure excitement of good football. Now wouldn't that be nice.
i hate that man (the man as in his jet game character, i dont know him as a person, i dont have high hopes for him but id give him an honest shake. kinda looks like he smells weird) with every fiber of my soul. youre right, in that they are definitely mocking this fanbase as a whole when they show him and his 2 tooth smile. i would almost, ALMOST support a petition to get this guy banned from the stadium. bare minimum i would donate a few bucks to a gofundme for his dentures and a hot shower.
