Woody is a joke. This is why the Jets are what they are. Kraft talked in the past tense about a player under contract. Woody blatantly confessed his interest in a player under contract. The Jets come off looking like fools. Jets grab all the headlines in March while sitting home in January. Same old story.
it doesn't work that way, chief. One is a violation by the letter of the law. the other is not. according to reports the league is taking what the jets did seriously. it's not going to go away because of kraft's remarks, which were not tampering.
Who do you think the Jets should with pick 32? A draft of Mariota at 6 and Gurley at 32 would be fantastic.
Nice try...Woody also talked about Revis in the past tense when he said 'if I knew we could have gotten him for that much we would have', referring to last year's negotiation. I love the Jets calling out the Pats for their sanctimonious nonsense
Don't worry, they've only got 3 more years of being allowed to be pompous. Once Brady and BB retire they'll become a normal NFL franchise again and we'll get to shit all over them. It's gonna be so fun to make fun of the spoiled brats who haven't seen their team win single digit games in 15 years.
Hopes up? For what dooosh? We're not the retards with a twenty plus page thread about how EGREGIOUS the tampering was, and blowing each other over how the Pats will get the Jets 6th overall pick. This tampering charge is just as absurd as the Pats.
They'll go back to being niner, steelers, and Cowboys fans. Most of their fans are front running, pompous, morons.
These two are petty as hell. I wish they would stop. It's like a fight between to rich children. Theres only one way to resolve this... and i got my money on the Woodster
the jets haven't won a super bowl since 1968 or whatever. still feel better? "I'd love for Darelle to come back" is not past tense.
Getting Revis back and seeing Pats fans and management throw a passive aggressive temper tantrum was great. This one is 10,000 times better. Welcome home, Darrelle.
another fact missing: Kraft was talking about negotiations with a player who WAS UNDER HIS CONTROL at the time. How can that remotely be considered tampering?
They mad.... I think they truly expected the 6th overall pick or something, such a sheltered and naive life these Pats fans live.
Im not sure you understand the tampering rule. However, what Kraft said IS A VIOLATION. Here's part of an article from NJ.com. But now that Revis is a former Patriots player -- and no longer a former Jet (following all this?) -- Kraft perhaps spoke out of turn, and against NFL rules, when he talked about Revis on Monday at the league's annual meeting. It seems pretty clear that the Jets are filing these charges against the Patriots as a way to highlight the silliness of this entire matter, and to point out that just as Kraft had no malicious intent with his Revis comments Monday, neither did Johnson in December.
"The fan in me wishes he was still with us". Present tense. Pretty cut and dry as per the definition of tampering. Any public or private statement of interest, qualified orunqualified, in another club’s player to that player’s agent or representative, or to a member of the news media. The rule includes this example of prohibited statements: “He’s an excellent player, and we’d very much like to have him if he were available, but another club holds his rights." Can't wait to receive the Pats' first round pick.
