should have been to a couple of sweet 16s at least but they also never should have made FF in 2009 so he underachieved some seasons and overachieved in others.

I agree with you about the Sweet !6, but why did they not deserve to make that final four? The destroyed UCLA, they demolished Duke, and beat Pitt in a classic game. Why were they undeserving?

They deserved it but that team was a 3 seed, they overachieved.

Oh, ok, I understand. I thought you were going to say they had a weak path to that Final Four.

one other thing looking at Wright at 'Nova, he has lost to eventual champs 5 times in 9 tourneys(soon to be 5 in 10).

I can't properly weigh that stat unless I have an idea how that compares to other teams.

The other thing I am dealing with is that next season is essentially meaningless for me until the tournament. Oh sure, I will watch games, but my heart just won't be into it? What's the sense in getting fired up over a conference title or a 2 loss season when it can be all wiped out in the first week of March?

it seems high to me. I will take a few other coaches to compare:

    Roy:
24 Tourneys: 6 w/ 5 coming in FF or title game(Jay has one in FF)

    K:
30 tourneys: 9 w/ 6 coming in FF or title game

    Izzo:
    17 tourneys: 3 w/ 2 of 3 coming in F/title game(both of those to Carolina)

    Cal:
15 Tourneys, 4 w/ all coming in FF or title game
at UMass: 1, lost in FF
at Memphis: 1. lost in title game
at UK: 2, lost in FF/title game

    Boeheim:
    31 tourneys: 3 w/ 2 coming in title games

for me it's usually FF or bust but I love the pre conf scheds and tourneys the Heels play in, I love the big ACC matchups then the ACC tourney and then the real season starts.

See, there you go again "The Real Season". How in the world am I supposed to be complacent when my coach continues to fail when it actually counts?

I love CBB seasons even though I know a season is determined by what happens in March.

OK, so once again, why should I be complacent?

you can do whatever you want. if you want to pretend 'Nova is an elite program where it is FF or bust go ahead. I am just suggesting you enjoy the season before the Tourney. even the top program usually end in defeat in March.

I think he is just bummed because Nova had a killer record and barely lost this season yet they lost in the Round of 32. That is bad.

But the season is a success, just need to use this #1 seed as a way to recruit and get more guys to help them win.

Again, I'd be happy to have him on St.Johns...We can't stop our guys from doing stupid shit and get suspended and we cannot recruit properly and well Lavin is basically just a personality on the bench not a coach.

Wright knows at least what he is doing...Overrated he may be among the elite groups, but all it takes is one NCAA championship and he is going to be considered elite.

There is a WIDE gap between "FF or Bust" and not making the Sweet 16 in six years. Surely you see that?

Just like the 2009 Final Four appearance and last year's #2 Seed? How did that work out?

Again, I have no complaints about Wright as an individual, as an example, and as an ambassador to this University.

And based on his NCAA Tournament resume, I have no reason to believe I will ever see that championship.

'Nova only has 1 in their history, it's hard to win NCAA titles. the chances are better than not of never winning another one. Be thankful they have one in their history.

And what a huge upset it was...That was Georgetown's title to have...Imagine how those fans felt that year.
