Titans are running a 4-3 with some mixture of 3-4. If everyone involved in the decision making believes Mariotta is a franchise qb, then how about trying to trade Mo to the titans for the 2nd pick? Then at 6, draft White or Cooper? Even if we have to sweeten the deal a little, it might be worth it. Mo is also due a huge contract next year. Thoughts?
Really dumb idea. The only quarterback prospect over the past 10 years you would do this for is Andrew Luck. No reason to trade an established pro bowl caliber lineman for a shot in the dark on a QB that you might still get if you stay at 6. Again, sorry for being so blunt, but it's such a stupid suggestion.
You think someone would trade Mo for Luck? Again...I said if they are all in for Mariotta, not a 'shot in the dark' as you say. I am not offended by a negative response so don't be sorry.
I do not agree with trading Wilk at all. He should be a Jet for life, he's a great and dominant player for us. Especially not for Mariota, he's not a definite guy like Luck was. Also, I have Wilk's jersey, can't let that go to waste due to him being traded lol. Happened to me with Revis right after I got the jersey as a gift. Thankfully, I held on to it haha
I'm gonna be furious if the jets pick Mariota at 6 . Trading Wilkerson to get him sooner, I may go on a killing spree
I thought qb was the most important position on the team. My bad. Additionally, I think Richardson is better.
I proposed something similar using Coples. Makes sense to me IF Mac has a huge hardon for Winston or Mariota. But hopefully he doesn't.
I think there going to be a lot of pissed off Jets fans come day one of the draft. Mariota is going to be there at 6 but they will pass on him. I dont think they are really sold on him.
I hope they pass. Spread oh qbs don't have success... 3 years in and the jets are still unsure if geno can play. Mariota never comes across well to me in interviews.. I'm so nervous they use that pick on him. I think he's gonna be a bust.
It wouldn't make sense simply because you're making the team worse by subtracting one of the best players for a QB that is not a guarantee - even if the higher ups think he is a franchise QB. The money is there for Wilk and this team can have a defense for the ages with another piece or two.
