Brian Costello @BrianCoz 8m8 minutes ago The Jets and former Giants OL James Brewer have agreed to a one-year deal, per source. #nyj
Ellis is on a secret mission from Mac to take Eli out during the first mini camp skirmish. Then say "Oh may bad. Forgot you guys were a bunch of pussys"
On OL or players in general? I wouldn't call a 5th and 7th swap for Brandon Marshall or a 2016 6th or 7th for a probable starting QB a waste. I'm glad to see this regime is making veteran depth a priority with Colon and now Brewer. Seems like in years past the backups along the OL have had little or no experience
Aye, O line guys take a while to develop and the plan seemed to be draft some poor schmuck and stick him in there. I agree, it's nice to see vet depth that are actual vets rather than draft picks we burn at the stake.
This is typically true, which makes me feel really, really fortunate that Mangold was an exception (and, to a certain extent, Ferguson).
Spices up the competition at G going into camp at the very least. Gonna be interesting to see who survives
Please Mac get us a Guard. I don't see how we can make it through Willie 'Penalty Machine' Colon again.
Yeah, I don't want us to sign more FA's use that money to lock up MO, and pray you don't draft Brian Winters 2.0
I don't really expect us to get a guard in the draft. Honestly we're way more likely to get a LT or a swing tackle who is versatile in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. That is, unless Mac isn't comfortable with Aboushi and Carpenter starting. We have to think about Brick's replacement this year, since his salary will be huge next year.
This may be true. A lot of tackles in this draft. We're not looking up Mo this offseason. At least I don't think we are.
Id say. They signed three G's counting Willie, on top of the dreck we had. Maybe Dozier can rise above.....
