For me, - trading him for anything less than a 2nd rounder would be purely emotional (i.e. ""get this injury prone, waste of the 9th overall draft pick, that I hated from the start, mistake made by John Idzik, - off my team!!!!!"").
Cro has 2 years here max. it's also hard to say exactly how long we'll keep Revis. there will be a decision after 2 years. there would be another decision after 3. i'd say keep Milliner who has a couple years left on his contract. he could still take over for one of these guys at CB in near future. this time gives him a chance to learn and grow, while also giving us good depth in event of an injury.
Can't say that I'm optimistic about his future with this team based on his health, but I would not give up on him - yet. Having said that, if he was dangled on draft day to move up to get somebody the FO really wants, I would pull the trigger. And by trading up, I don't mean with the team's first pick...
This would be the epitome of "buy High, sell low" if they bit on a mid round or later pick. The chance that this kid could develop into a player to step into Cro, or Revis's role as they move on is worth more than a late pick would be
we are not getting a first rounder for him. Since 1985 only 2 corners got traded for a first round pick. One was revis the other was back in 1985. So whoever thinks we are getting a first round pick better look up some stuff. We won't get a 2nd for him. Take the list of corners traded for 2nd rnders the last 15 years Milliner is not on that level. Not even close. Probably won't get a 3rd for him looking at the transactions. If we get a 4th that would probably be the trade, is he worth a 4th? Probably I know one thing we won't be picking up his option since he is the 4th corner mys well trade him now, cause his value will lessen on the trade market. The team trading for him has next May to decide to pick up his option. If he is traded next yr why would you pick up a 11 mil option for a player that hasn't played a down for you and was a 4th corner on another team. I think you want to see atleast 2 years out of him to warrant a 3rd or 4th rnder. If you trade him this year the new team can see 3 years out of him if they pick up the option. Trade him next year he is only seeing one year and probably only net a 5th-7th. Or might be cut by the Jets who knows if he is that bad. These Bama guys are starting to scare me. Now is the time to trade him sitting on the bench won't help his value.

Didn't Bowles say, "If you can't see the field someone else will". The current HC and GM have no investment in Milliner, why should they hang on to the old regimes awful pick. I would trade him IF you can and get whatever you can for him, and trade that 3.5 million he gets this year. If we cut him it's still dead money against the cap.
all I know is we wont get a first.....people that think we will get a first have to look at the last 30 years and tell me what corner was traded for a first.... even the 2nd rnders just get rid of him now sitting on the bench adds no value
Milliner played at an elite level the last 6 games of 2013. If the Jet's physicians think he can be 100% physically, no way do you give up on the guy.
Are you talking about the right player? 2015: $585,000 (+ $971,000 reporting bonus), 3.5? The only way Milliner isn't on the team this year is if someone blows us away with a 2nd or 3rd round pick... Not happening. Milliner will be a Jet
A 2nd or 3rd round pick? No way. He's going nowhere. Jets are CB stocking and besides, as already mentioned, you're not going to trade from a position of weakness (Milliner's injury) and not get fair value for him. While he seems to get dinged up he's also shown he can play the position. Way too early to give up on this guy.
this is nonsense. he played at a solid above average level. not good, and certainly nowhere near elite. having a couple ints fall in his lap earning him defensive rookie of the week or month or whatever doesnt mean he played elite. he had a pretty disappointing rookie season overall and an injury plagued one last year. im not saying gve up on him, but also lets not be crazy with expectations
I'm not agreeing with him playing "Elite" but saying those INTs fell into his lap and he didn't play really well the end of that season is not being fair. breaking up passes is only the half of it. your guy catching balls or you not blowing assignements is just as if not more important
