Would make much more sense than White now that we have Marshall and Decker (Cooper could play slot). Sadly we have other needs that may force us elsewhere.

Will cost much more money, not a return man, a possession receiver not a speedy guy like Moore. Doesn't really fit.

Jets definitely seem intent on signing on a deep threat for the receiving core via FA to round out the group. Makes me think they either

    A. Dont think Cooper will be there at 6

    or

    B. Are looking at another player(s) at that spot

Or, they are just looking at players that might fit a need independently from how they think the draft will play out

Crabtree has almost zero interest. Fins are the only team I've heard with some.

He'll most likely have to accept a 1 year deal. He's not as fast as Moore but could give a team much more imo.

maybe, they might know something about Cooper that we dont, such as who ahead of us plans on selecting him or something.

    Just throwing out speculation

I don't think Cooper or White is a real possibility at #6. What are they going to play out of slot, thats not what they're used to and its a bad fit. Maybe we get a deal like the Browns got for Sammy Watkins and get some extra picks. We have a lot of money tied up in the WR position and it would be foolish to dump more resources into that position. Moore is exactly the kind of player we need and he may come cheap.

Maybe you're right on White, but I believe Cooper would be just fine as a slot receiver. He'd also compliment Marshall and Decker perfectly.

If not him, then I hope we draft Dorsett in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I hope as a Jet fan that you have learned that it's not always best to throw significant playing time at rookies. Drafting a WR would be perfectly fine. We need to stockpile talent when it's available. Marshall is old. Both Cooper and White would be great picks. They don't need to play right away but I'm sure they'd get their share of snaps.

We need to start drafting some offensive talent and stop relying on stop-gap vets.

He'd be very worth a veteran minimum deal. If he plays like he did earlier in his career he could be a quality deep threat.

I like it. Always felt he had talent and I think he will be on the cheap.

We have the 6th overall pick there is plenty of talent to choose from. White and cooper are on the same level as prospects at a position of need. It's not like if we pass on them we are then reaching for talent.

And yes I expect the sixth overall pick to see significant playing time

I wish Moore played more than one good year., :(

His hands have been suspect but i mean at least he can open up the defense by running flys lol .

And he never ran a kick back in his life... why people talking about him being a returner? because he's fast????? lol

Moore is a lot better than Ford. He is a more well rounded WR.

No one said he wasn't. You bolded exactly how I compared them.

For offensive talent? Yes, we would be, unless either Winston or Mariota is still available. The only other players worth that pick are pass rushers or Williams. I wouldn't mind a pass rusher, but I'd really like to see the Jets infuse some young talent into the offense. Cooper and White look like can't miss prospects. I favor White because I think he has a higher ceiling, but you wouldn't see me complaining if we took Cooper.

Moore actually looked like he was on his way to becoming a baller, but fizzled out. Not sure what happened there.

Sure, why not sign him to a cheapskate deal with no guaranteed $.

He looked very promising his rookie year (under Hue Jackson?) but has done nothing since.

i'm not sure Moore would even beat out Owusu and Graham...as both guys showed they can make plays on special teams.
..and there's a good chance we may draft someone.

he would have to earn a roster spot if we signed him, so i certainly wouldn't give any guaranteed money..
