I think it doesn't mean anything because Rex just walked into a defense that was already successful while Bowles walked into a defense with a good dline, average LBs and nothing at CB up until 5 days ago
I reserve comment until BuffaloPsycho weighs in on the subject. His pre-season prognostications have proven to be 'good money' year after year after year.
The Bills has a top 5 defense last year, now that Rex is the HC, they will be lucky to be a top 20 defense.
Bayless flat out says it. Best D in the division. http://m.espn.go.com/wireless/relat...tp://m.espn.go.com/general/video?vid=12475176
Hard to say. But what matters is will we have relative balance? They can have the better D if we play complimentary ball. I can almost guarantee Buffalos D will be good.
Yes Bills had the most sacks in the NFL last year but the Jets were #6. Don't act like we can't get after the QB.
Yeah the Jets are fucked because they had a bad year when their secondary was stocked with JAGs and their dumb ass HC/DC kept sending the house anyway. Have fun with those jailbreak blitzes when you have a few key injuries and nothing is done to compensate for it lol
I could give a rats ass if we have a better defense. My guess is we won't (statistically anyway) That doesn't mean we won't finish higher than them in the standings, which I am not ready to concede, because there's more to football than defensive rankings-- something Rex hasn't learned yet
Our secondary trumps theirs and it's not even close. Our front seven is comparable and if we add a OLB at 6 this is not even a debate.
I guess it depends on what stats matter to you. They may not rank best in yardage allowed like the patented Rex Ryan Break But Don't Bend defense but they could rank pretty high in the categories that actually translate to wins
Why because the Jets were the 6th ranked D and the Jills were 4th. The Jets completely upgraded the secondary and the Bills lost a safety. I said if we land a OLB like Fowler at 6 the Jets on paper have A better defense, period.
If we get a stud edge rusher it w would potentially be the best defense that the Jets have ever fielded. Thank you Big Mac.
If Jets don't try to go deep too often early, they should be fine. Ryan defense is always big up front, physical at the back, but has more holes than a pound of swiss cheese in the middle.
How to beat rex's defense get to third down and throw a short pass and run for the 1st since you know he is going to send the house every
