I don't know what you are trying to say. I merely said Foles is more attractive in a package with the 10th pick than the 20th. And I never said it would only be Foles and the 20th. I get that you don't like FOles, and apparently not Bradford either. I have to disagree on that. Both will be starting Qb's this season, and likely in the top 15 at that.
I would prefer that seeing as Winston has played in a pro-style offense. I think he realizes what is at stake and will conduct himself accordingly.
Foles with the 10 is more attractive than Bradford with the 10. Foles is due $1.5M this year, Bradford is due $13M.
I think the issue with this theory is that if WE'VE been scared off enough not to take him, maybe the bloom is off the rose and therefore why is anyone else going to throw a king's ransom to move up? This pro day helped us tremendously. In theory with Chip Kelly out of the bidding and his pro day seemingly knocking him down a peg, no one is going to give a Tenn or Jax or Oak a total haul of picks so it doesn't make sense for them to drop back out of the top 6-10 picks for less consideration than what was expected just a few days ago. And now maybe Washington is having second thoughts. Perfect scenario for us. _
This should be the playbook for how to screw up an NFL team. How did tossing Geno in there from day 1 work out? And then you want to take our #6 overall pick and toss him to the side after one year where you set him up to fail?
Stop hyping that article. It's not even that good. I love to look at and analyze the stats but looking at them in a vacuum is misleading and irresponsible. For the record I think Mariota is a decent prospect but I don't think he's amazing.
You questioned what the Rams had that they could package to trade up if not Foles. I just told you -- draft picks.
Reminds me....what's the difference between Billy Joel and the band Great White? "We Didn't Start the Fire" For once let's have a 'Pick 6' work for us: MM.
The eagles making a bad trade doesn't dispute my assertion that another team wouldn't take Foles and his cheaper contract without a pick. You think the eagles made one call to one team and made a deal? It's more likely it's indicative of the market for Foles that nobody was dying to get him, nevertheless trade out if the top 5 for him.
Here's what needs to happen. Draft day Jets are on the clock, Iggles call. Jets trade out of the 6. (1600 points) Take Iggles number one next year (this years is 850), a two this year, and a two next year. And Mark Sanchez. Geno Starts we win 3 or 4, and package both number ones to move up to draft Cardale Jones. And if we already own the one overall, hence no packaging, we have 4 out of the top 60 0dd picks. the humour on draft day alone would be worth it.
Cool. Hey nobody else wanted Russell Wilson in the 2nd round, his market value was a 3rd so boy I sure am glad we didn't take him in the 2nd.
ideal scenario would be Rams trading with us, giving us Foles, the number 10 and their second rounder---their own, not the Eagle one. We draft White or Cooper at 10. If no trade, get me a pass rusher
I think this guy has high bust potential. Not surprised by the less than impressive pro day. He will not be ready to start day 1.
