by the way, I hope SJU makes it and it sounds like they will but they do not deserve to make the Tourney.

Missing their best player probably hurt.

Because basketball has the most corrupt officiating aside from soccer where the reffing is criminal

they should be able to miss 5 players and whip TCU. they were all healthy when losing to UK by 40.

that would be my nightmare scenario. Hopefully duke plays like they have in the tourney for the last decade minus 2010.

If they don't make the tournament, he deserves to go.

in latest bracketology Lunardi has SJU moving UP to a 7 seed. I imagine he hasn't updated since yesterday but either way their last game was the humiliation at 'Nova so how could they move up?

I think it was before the games though, how he can he have SJU as a rising 7 after the last 2 games? I wish they time stamped those things.

I think he's on shaky ground and deservedly so. Had too many players declared ineligible which lead to a depth-strapped team that wore down, had underachiving talent, and does not have a good local recruiting vein (Gauchos, Riverside, CTK, etc.) to tap. What the hell......Mark Jackson anyone? ;-o

Meanwhile, down in the NEW YORK LIFE ACC tournament at the Bobby Goldsboro Coliseum:
    Fla. St. 44; UVA 58

    "..and Dean, we miss you
    ...and we're being good.."

    Louisville 60; UNC 70

    Miami 63; ND 70
    NC St. 53; Duke 77

If UNC upsets the Cavs we could be looking at (again....) THREE games between Duke and UNC inside of 1 month....with a chance to meet yet again?
Greatest 'watered-down' rivalry in college basketball if you ask me. More like the Coors Lite clash.

UNLV's season officially ended as they lost to San Diego State for the 3rd time this season... there isn't any coach in the country who has done less with more than Dave Rice over the last 4 years. 18-15 this year after bringing in a top 5 recruiting class this year and a top 10 one 2 of the last 3 years. This guy needs to be sent packing.... he's a fucking joke. Worst record UNLV has had sine the 2000-2001 season (which we were on probation and Bill Bayno was fired halfway through the season)

We have at least 2 NBA players on the roster right now. One will absolutely declare and while I don't see him being a lottery pick he should be a 1st round guy. I'm not sure about the other as he injured his knee and was on the line of a 1st round and 2nd round but let's remember that Dave Rice also had the #1 overall pick a few years ago and was embarrassed by Cal. One of the Cal coaches was quoted as saying that UNLV couldn't even figure out if they should press or play zone and Cal wasn't even doing anything special.

UNLV isn't a learn on the job type of job and our last AD really fucked up, it's nice to get top recruits but I don't care about what they do on signing day. Paper champions... I want wins on the court and Rice has failed.

I'm nervous about tonight's game. Providence has eliminated Villanova from the Big East tournament more times than I care to count!
