He had a few good games at the end of the season. I think the problem with him was more Marty not using him than him not being a decent TE. As for Amaro he had problems in training camp learning the offense. He is a good receiver but to me some Jets fans, the ones who only care about receiving tight ends have overrated him. But potentially he could be better than Dustin Keller.
None at this point. I think that post was before we traded for Fitz. If we hadn't been able to get Fitz, I would have opted for Matt Moore. Not sexy, but I think safer than Geno.
The draft is the great equalizer. If you consistently draft well, you can truly have sustainable success whether you splurge in FA or NOT. That's where Mac needs to differentiate himself from his predecessors.
Not unlike Idzik didn't think Revis was worth the money, Tanny didn't think Abraham deserved the money, Bradway…Moss, Parcells…Keyshawn…etc…etc.
He's also a 7th round pick. Not that it matters since this administration didn't draft either, but Pryor will likely start over Allen when there are only 2 safeties. Bowles likes his 3 safety sets, however.
The bold is true why? Because of where they were drafted by a prior regime? That doesn't seem to be working for Milliner.
The defense will also improve if the offense can sustain drives, turn the ball over less and/or score more points.
