You know...others have mentioned it...but do you think that this Management Team doesn't like Wilk? Maybe they like Richardson better? Maybe they are willing to handle the same way Idzik was going to and let him play out his contract? It's a little crazy but possible... Of course, there is enough money to sign Wilk but I'm just thinking different scenarios.
Are you like related to John Idzik or something? You weren't a Jet fan in 13 is for sure. Even those who were fine with letting him go last off season knew he was injured in 13. Their only question was whehter he was going to bounce back or not. Last year he bounced back, is not hurt now, and cashed in at the going rate. Tell John hi.
All those positions are way easier to address in the draft. There will be multiple pass rushers available at 6, it makes no sense to spend money on a RB, and you can always get starring-caliber safeties and guards in the mid-rounds. Having 3-4 good corners is incredibly important in today's pass-heavy league.
You guys need to chill. You have to overpay a little to get guys to move teams. Also, We don't know the guaranteed part. The 4 years @ $32 mil is meaningless.
They've talked trying to come to a deal, Wilkerson might be pricing himself out of what the Jets want to give him. I hope they reach a deal. Wilkerson has said he isn't going to hold out, hope for his sake he doesn't get himself dinged up at anypoint this season that could cost him.
The cap always increases, why is everyone so worried jesus. Leave that up to the financial people. They are putting together a playoff team and beyond, we want to compete now I find that satisfying instead of basically playing momeyball and getting cheap random people . We saw how that turned out last year. #2 wilk is a FA NEXT YEAR why is everyone so worried. We have all year to get him a contract and even another year of we franchise tag him CALM DOWN R-E-L-A-X
Our GM is like a teenage girl at the mall with a new credit card.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If they don't want to give Wilk a big deal they better trade him when his value is max (as in, right now.) Otherwise we will 100% regret letting him go.
The answer to all of you bitching is this: The cap rises every year and peaks at $170 million. Just take that in for a second. Now shut up!
Speaking of Stub LB's...When he rushes off of the edge he's tough to stop. It's a bull rush, but it's almost unstoppable. He was very limited, but just that he's very effective. I'm still hoping a few of Izdick's picks pan out
