I think this is legit. It was great having Revis here for a year and obviously the results couldn't have been better, but the entire time, there was a weird, underlying feeling about the whole thing, at least for me. Sort of like if your neighbors got divorced and the guy's hot wife moved in with you for a year afterwards, lol... He never really felt like "our" player and you sort of knew it was borrowed time. Wasn't sure if it'd be a year or two, but I definitely didn't expect Revis here for very long. For Revis, I think this opportunity was the best of both worlds. He got his money, and - for someone who has absolutely no reason to take him at his word - I do believe that his heart was always in NY. I think it really bothered him last offseason when the Jets (mainly Idzik) supposedly wouldn't even take his agents' calls. It was a good move by NY, got to tip the cap. They weakened the Pats significantly while strengthening their team. So I guess we'll be seeing NY/NE on opening night now? LOL... sort of strange with Revis there, since they'll put the banner up that night. But at this point I'm thinking that Thursday night game has got to either be the Jets or Bills.
I thought Jets-Bills would be an opening Mon Night game but I agree we could see Pats/Bills or Pats/Jets for the opener.
It's actual bad news in some regards.. Initial reports are the deal is for 3/18 mill.. Same as cro, this changes cros value.
No, with Revis already essentially gone, they let Browner walk. He's not going to be a good fit for the scheme changes that are coming. (Less man, more leaky zone...)
