hopefully he doesn't start, but he is better then Winters ... we need some Guards ASAP - or Suh will eat us alive.

45 years of no Super Bowls will do that to a fan particularly when his team suddenly decides that 4-12 is a good reason to double down on players unlikely to be worth the investment.

If this is the case, then its a non-issue at this time, like you say.

God I hate this but our G situation has not been improved substantially in FA, I guess it makes sense. Push comes to shove, as old and unsexy (pause) as Colon is, he was our best G last year (sad) and could be our best G next year (sadder)

Insurance is something you get that pays off if there is an accident or disaster. Colon is a disaster.

it's not just sacks allowed. he has rated very well in pass pro by PFF both years here.

you guys see penalty flags, and just assume he's old and sucks.
i've spent a lot of time actually watching Colon. the criticism outside of the penalties isn't well warranted.

Winters sucks so is this really surprising? He's a camp body at worst.

No, a disaster would be Winters or Aboushi. Apparently that's what the FO thinks anyway.

The team really liked him, he was like the veteran joker on the team.

At least look at it this way, we not have a guy who can teach Carpenter when best to utilize his penalties...You know when it's 3rd and short.

Colon was part of guys that got tardy being with Rex, he led our team with penalties too

I'm surprised he's back. But I still prefer the young guys to get snaps over Colon.

We will be in this perpetual state until the end of time. But it is what it is. I just hope we get lucky one of these years....

Ha, I saw that. Mentioned Colon in a leadership role

Between Dozier, Abugast, and Winters, maybe one of them rise above the other two and become a contributor. I'll say Dozier 'cause I haven't seen him, lol

The penalties alone are a major liability. That could be partly attributed to poor discipline, coaching and even the quarterback (false starts).

I guarantee some of that pressure up the middle was directly attributed to lazy guard play (colon).
