If I was the GM in DC, I would take Mariota. Too many questions about Griffin's health. And some other things.

On the other hand I used to think Tennessee was more of a likelihood to take him, but they seem set with Mettenberg and have a need to go elsewhere with their first pick.

So it's back to Snyder I guess.

I wonder if the Jets will even try to trade up.

The bigger question is will the Jets even take him if he IS there at 6? I have my doubts although all of their comments could be just a smokescreen.

i dont think we should, mainly because i dont believe in trading up for a guy whos not ready to take the field yet. it seems to me that by all accounts, not just from us but from the large majority of scouts and sports media etc, is that he needs to sit and learn for a bit. hes in no way a sure thing. i wouldnt pull a washington and mortgage the future that severely by trying to move up for a guy who isnt ready to start.

I would make a bet he is better than Smith or Fitzpatrick now and would be better for the Jets if he started tomorrow.

i would take that bet in a hearbeat. geno maybe (but i doubt that), but fitz no way. hes got the leg up with his knowledge of the system, and the fact that hes not terrible and very smart.

I didn;t say he would know the system any better but that he would be a better QB and the bet is on..we will see who has the better year, Fitzpatrick or Mariota because another bet I will make is that WHOEVER drafts him won't be drafting him to sit..those days are over.

You know, I think I'd be ok with Cro not coming back. I know Milliner has problems, we don't know what McDougal is at all. However the kid Williams showed some real stuff out there at the end of the year. I think with Skreene on the inside and Gilchrist, looks really good on tape, in the safety spot. We could be just fine and put that money into going after Wiz from the raiders to play guard and some bargain basement shopping to help sure up other spots of need.

If I said he's yo momma would that suffice??? No, I'm kidding. My bad on that spelling. Its how his name is pronounced however and I've got it locked into my head all ass backwards.

    For the record

Nice work by Mac! If Pryor can get his sh*t together we can have a ridiculously good secondary

Jets bring back another of their former CBs, reaching agreement with Antonio Cromartie, per source. Cromartie-Revis teamed again.
