In the 1970s, the average offensive lineman was 6-foot-3, 255 pounds. http://www.businessinsider.com/nfl-...10#1970s-dallas-clark-te-indianapolis-colts-6 dallas clark is your offensive lineman, folks
my point? how in the world can you be so small when the whole league was juicing? why? well, they were just smaller human being. guys like Suh was 280+lb in high school! and they were far more athletic than those roided 250 pounders. so all this glorifying the past and calling today's nfl - 'sissy league!' 'they won't last a min against REAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS!' are non sense. yes, back then rules were crazy. crazy roid raged players played in that league. but come on man. don't give me this brady can't play in the 70's crap. because every sunday brady is going up against bigger and faster guys with much more game speed. he is getting hit by 300lb DTs and 275lb DEs who can fly on a regular basis. and those crazy roid rage rules are just stupid. closeline? suplex? that's not a football play. that's a rage. what a sissy! brady getting hit by justin tuck 6ft 5 270lb. tuck would be the biggest guy in most 70's team. lol i guess brady would die on the field if he gets hit by justin tuck in the 70s.
So infantile comparing player stature today versus 10-20-30-40 years ago. Alexander the Great was 5'-6". Barack Obama is 6'-4". Irrelevant. And quite frankly, naive. Child please. _
Besides everyone knows Brady is a creation of HGH and steroids. He'd be YA Tittle if not for the juice. Don't procreate. Seriously. _
maybe my 36 year old educated logic is confusing your 60 year old brain. size matters in sports. juiced up 70s players are half the size of today's players. nostalgia is a drug.
You're such a dope you can't even understand the context of what you are arguing. My 20 year old is smarter and more logical than you. Nice troll job. Brady still not the GOAT. Never was. Seriously, don't ever have children. _
if you think tom brady isn't tough, then you don't know football. go watch some tape. and brady is one of the most durable QB in the league. after all he is just a pocket passer. 6ft 4 225lb too - taller and heavier than roided bradshaw. yes, brady doesn't like to get hit anymore after 2008 season. why? because he realized football is all he has. he realized taking care of his health is the #1 objective because he wanted to play football forever(his words). can you really blame the guy? it ate him when he sat out and watch peyton mvp. watch other teams play SB. not being able to go on a vengeance tour. brady is arguably the most competitive QB ever. dude still cries about getting picked 199th. getting hit like a tough man doesn't help his team. instead of taking a hit like a man, it's much smarter to avoid the hit and even trying to get call his way. because objective of the game is to WIN. THEY PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. NBA players do that all the time. getting into refs heads. watch Michael Jordan after a hard foul. watch lebron james after a hard foul. and now these players flop. dirk thinks flopping is no big deal. cp3? he flops every game. why? because they want to win. they will do it over and over again even though fans crucify them. i hated these floppers. but now i understand why they do it. because they want to win. NFL is no longer a tough guy sports. that's a thing of the past. it's a THINKING MAN'S SPORT. yes, every team has muscles. but they also have the brain. back then players had a different mentality. these roided players in the 70s take a hit like a man because 1. they aren't bright 2. they abused roids - they weren't mentally well (well documented fact) and yeah, those roided old schoolers are so tough. i mean they are so tough that they have to abuse roids like WWE wrestlers. those full roid rage was what made them appear to be tough. but in reality, they were collective cowards. they kept juicing even though they were miserable inside. it was a sadness. but at the end of the day, read my above comments. they are slower and smaller than today's players even with roids. it's like brady going back to college and playing against mid majors. that's how far NFL came. 40 years is a long time.
Spot on. Why Robert Kraft's 39-going-on-40 years older than Riki Noel Lander. His First Noel, it was rumored that day, was that Bob used his wallet to Land Her and lay. 73!......34!.......hike! .......up your skirt skank
Can you please keep a wad of Kleenex near you if you plan on public masturbation? Brady stopped being tough and durable when Pollard destroyed his knee. I used to watch him get hit and just bounce up like nothing happened, now he is the biggest crybaby in the NFL, every time he gets touched he is in the refs face telling for a flag, it is simultaneously sad and funny, he might as well have Giselles tampon in his mouth instead of a mouthpiece, oh yeah he doesn't use a mouth piece unless it's a 16 year old male Brazilian that thinks his family was killed in a car crash
I have to say that when I was younger that while I didn't like Brady I respected him. Lloyd Carr had some great teams at Michigan and Brad was the quarterback. But he has never gotten over his low draft status and still carries a chip on his shoulder that Billy Martin would envious of. I agree with Charles Haley...... Joe Montana didn't have to cheat.
Hey. Preaching to the choir. My dad used to take me to Oregon State Beavers games when I was a kid. Bill Walsh coached Stanford then. Most of the fans used to get pretty ripped on stuff like Jack Daniels smuggled in to Parker Stadium and it would take it's effect about the time opposing teams would come out of the tunnel ..... I am proud that I called him an old _______ and he did a double take and couldn't believe what was coming out of this teenager's mouth. Ahhhhhh. The days of my youth.
And Matt cassell did so well that they missed the playoffs after being probably the most dominant offensive team ever the year before. 5 less wins and even 11-5 was an inflated record. Our division played the afc and nfc west which were terrible that year.
