There's every reason to believe he will hold out going into Year 4 (or alternatively, get cut if his performance falls off the map). Those last two years of the contract might as well not exist; every one knows he will never honor them.
Ha, HA! Ryan Fitzpatrick? Solid guy. And, according to everyone, a genuinely nice guy. He's shown a lot of improvement in his last few games before he broke his leg, and he should be really interesting to watch.
Man the match up in practice is going to be NUTS with these two! I know they will be beyond competetive vs each other as always.. hopefully this rubs off on the rest of the team and we have a special fight in every player around them. (wow..i remember this.. i had to act like i didn't see it) Revis says No sir Mr. Marshall. again. Gotta love this pic right now as a Jets fan. Two beast fighting for that ball.
Interesting read. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...tions-in-negotiating-his-70-million-jets-deal
This won't happen, don't worry. Unless the Jets actually talked to Revis or his agent before they were supposed to, there hasn't been a team in the history of the league who got draft picks taken away for talking about a player while on contract. Though it was technically "tampering," it won't be equivalent to a draft pick.
This is more geared towards the teams that had agreements before free agency started, primarily the Dolphins with Suh. I wasn't referring to the Jets here
Oh gotcha, I misread. Maybe I'm just defensive because all my Pats-fan friends are calling for Jets draft picks for tampering...
Oh of course they are. There are TONS of articles on Boston websites about how the Jets deserve to give New England their first round pick Lmao!!
When you read Boston papers, I am amazed at the level of out and out high school level journalism you see. Pure Cheerleading
I tend to think that it will amount to nothing, there is one outside chance that I think would have some validity. If that report comes out about deflate world and the Pats didn't do anything wrong, there COULD be an attempt by the league to punish the Jets (or rather reward the Patriots) in a way to show deference to the Pats. It'd be incredibly stupid, but I don't think that's a disqualifier for anything. I don't think that will happen, but I think there's maybe a 5% or less chance that the Jets could end up paying for circumstance. But that's a big if.
LMAO, I don't believe 90% of this supposed emotional connection Revis keeps bringing up. He's trying to sell it hard, and even if it's true I just don't buy/believe it. DON'T CARE THOUGH, BECAUSE HE'LL BE PLAYING CB FOR THE JETS IN THE FALL!
Except for the fact that with revis there was no legal tampering period because he wasnt a free agent. Teams were not allowed to talk to him in any way until 4pm on tuesday. If the dolphins get in trouble we will get in trouble. Hopefully not to high of a draft pick but either way revis is worth it
