At this point, the defense could be approaching the 2000 Ravens, lol.

If we draft Mariota and he starts, we are idiots. Best case scenario is we draft Mariota and Fitz starts.

The only "upside" to Geno is what bench he should be sitting on and moping with his hood over his head... The Amish rifle is most certainly not going to win us a super bowl, but he's definitely an upgrade over Geno Smith. Draft a QB in the draft and have him learn. I definitely don't want Bradford from the Eagles.

I personally think Fitz is a better QB, so I would rather have him start. But if Geno beats him out, so be it. Regardless of who is starting, Mariota should be on the bench for at least a full season.

The problem with Fitz is that he has the skill set of a JAG but the confidence of a Pro-bowler. That's why he's NOT the type to NOT lose games for you.

That's a pretty bold claim, how would you substantiate it? How many borderline starting QBs would be less likely than Fitzpatrick to cost us a game?

Why is everyone happy about this signing? Sure he is better than geNO, but then who isn't?

In 4 crappy years as a starter with the Bills he threw for only 11,654 yards, with 80 TDs and 64 Ints, 97 sacks, and 26 fumbles. Only with the Jets would these stats be something to brag about. In four season on the Bills they won 20 games, and lost 44 games.

Even if he knows the offensive system we will be running, he sucks at it. Can we please try and trade geNo for Glennon?

I guess the only hope is Mariota being there at #6. Thank you Rex for beating Miami, the one F2ckn game we really needed to lose.

    To me its simple.

Fitz is a very average at best QB. But the Jets have not had very average QB play in a long time. They've had very below average QB play. This is an upgrade.

I like this trade since the Jets are only giving up a late round pick. Fitzpatrick should be the starter next year, and the Jets should find their QB of the future in this draft and let him sit for a year.

The Tennessee game was the one game we needed to lose, that hurt us worse.

In 18 Starts, Glennon had 4,000 yards 29 TDs with only 15 Ints, passer rating of 83.7. Stat wise he is a top 20 QB in the NFL. He is not mobile, so what.

I agree and we got him cheap, the Chipster is paying more for Sanchez for a backup role.

Why do people keep trying to say that everyone is happy with the idea that Fritz is the starter? Sounds like you are trying to sound smart by basically not portraying the opinions of anyone in this thread accurately

I have to agree with this as well, Lovie messed up proclaiming McCown as his starter. Glennon played well for a rookie.

he also played some of the worst defenses in the NFL this year

saints, steelers, atlanta, and the browns (very overrated defense last year). also half the time he chucked the ball up to mike evans, just like johnny manziel did at texax A&M
